Your fingers lightly trudged through his thick hair, a low moan of appreciation running wild in his throat. “It’s too early to get up.” He said in his usually scruffy morning tone, the thoughts of sleep still lingering in every crevice of his voice. You laughed softly, enjoying the half spooning position you found yourself in. Hiro’s back faced you as you sat propped up against the head board and faced his body. “You should, y’know…” The eighteen year old let out a vicious yawn, “Stop playing with my hair and come snuggle me some more so I can fall back asleep.”

He felt your body rumble with a soft chuckle as you dropped your body back onto the pillows and tugged your warm arms around his body. “This better.”

Hiro nodded, cupping your hands which were laid out on his bare chest. “I don’t have a lot of memories of my parents… But I remember that… After a bad dream, I’d go to their room and crawl in next to my mom like this… She’d hold me, tell me things were alright…” You fell silent beside him and placed a kiss of assurance upon the nape of his neck, almost telling him that you weren’t going anywhere. He decided to speak again, but you could hear the emotion cracking in his voice, “I’m glad… I have good memories of them… My parents, I mean. I hope I’m a great dad.”

“You will be, when the time comes.” You said lovingly. “Cass raised you and your brother well. She’s a good woman, and you’ll pass down all she taught you.”

“Oh god, when you get pregnant she’s gonna be all over you.” Hiro said in realization. “She loves babies.” He paused. “She’s going to be all over me too. He sweet little nephew all grown up, having sex.”

“She knows we do that.” You informed him, “I may or may not have sent her a text that was meant for you.”

“Oh my god, (Name). Is that why she was acting weird the other day at dinner?”

“Yeah.” You said bashfully, “I tried to stop the message from sending but I wasn’t fast enough! I’m sorry.”
