low effort, low energy things to do to feel cleaner, happier, and/or more productive (for days when u aren't feeling so good)

  • pick up five things from ur floor and put them where they're supposed to go in ur room
  • reorganize ur playlists, or make a whole new one and listen to it while u do whatever ur planning on doing :)
  • put on a face mask! it makes u feel so good afterwards trust me
  • re-apply deodorant and/or put on some nice smelling perfume
  • meditate for 10-15 minutes
  • splash cold water on ur face
  • paint ur nails
  • try some relaxing yoga
  • eat a piece of fruit
  • if ur feeling good enough to, run a warm (not hot, if ur sick it could be dangerous!!) bath and just lay in it for a while
  • extra points if u add some bath salts
  • literally just washing ur hands makes u feel better
  • change out of ur pajamas and into something new (+ still comfy)
  • take a short walk around the neighborhood, or even just around ur house!
  • drink a glass of water
  • spend some time outside ur room, maybe in the living room or the kitchen. simple exposure to a different setting is so good for u
  • if ur not in the mood to shower but don't want to feel dirty, take a wet washcloth and wipe urself down,, it rly does help
  • instead of scrolling endlessly on tiktok, watch youtube or, even better, listen to a podcast! u can keep ur phone/computer farther from ur face so it's better for ur eyes, and u have ur hands free to do other things. this is my favorite way to stay entertained without the
  • brush ur teeth!! ik it can be rly draining, but u dont have to do it for all 2 minutes. even if its just for 10 seconds, it's better than nothing at all. for me, telling myself i'm just gonna brush for 10 seconds is how i get motivated to do it in the first place, and then i do it for longer bc now i've already started.
  • if u rly feel like looking at social media today, (which i totally get!) try some scrolling workouts. theres plenty of them on google- easy things like kicking ur feet that u can do with very little effort
  • read just one page of a book. i know it doesn't seem like it would do anything, but one page is infinetely better than nothing, and if the book is interesting you might end up reading more than u had planned to :)
  • if u have laundry piling up, put away the first five things u see. a big pile is always more daunting than a few seperate pieces. put away a little bit of the pile every time u remember, and it'll all be gone before u even realize
  • bring down any cups or dishes in ur room. do it right now. i dont care what ur doing, if ur reading this, take them downstairs
