Howdy, I’m Mei! This is my Tumblr blog. I usually post about fandom art and reblogs.

I have an original project called “Heliosphere: Under the Sky”! It has a Tumblr blog as well as a Webtoon page. Please check them out!

Here are some important links as well as some side blogs dedicated to specific fandoms. Be sure to check them out as well!

COMMISSION STATUS: CLOSED. Updates in Carrd!

As of writing this, I’m the most active in my Twitter account where I promote my commissions and keep my posts up to date.

Okay so

This will still be a primarily art blog, but sometimes I will reblog from others too (especially from friends)

In the end I may make a portfolio account that holds the art I deem is portfolio-worthy in one place for a more convenient browsing.

Usually I reblog from my side blogs for specific things (like my Splatoon OCs, Heliosphere project, etc.)

But for mostly fanart, non OC-related things, I post them here. Like my old Smash art and some other fandom art like SDV, Zelda, etc.

I WILL TAG EVERYTHING so it’s easy for people to blacklist if needed. I also love keeping things organised!

Anyways...

COMIC: The Days of the Week

(Heliosphere: Under the Sky is an original solar system project with personified stars and planets)

Space facts!

The names of the days of the week vary from culture to culture.

In some cultures, the days of the week were named after the "classical planets".

Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto were discovered much later, so they didn't make it to the naming scheme.

COMIC: Jupiter Appears

(Heliosphere: Under the Sky is an original solar system project with personified stars and planets)

Space facts!

Jupiter often protects Earth and the other inner planets by deflecting comets and asteroids. But sometimes, it sends objects on a collision course straight toward the inner planets.

COMIC: Uranus’ Original Name?

(Heliosphere: Under the Sky is an original solar system project with personified stars and planets)

Space facts!

Sir William Herschel tried to name the planet “Georgium Sidus” after King George III.

This means “George’s Star”.

Johann bode suggested it be named “Uranus”, after the Greek god of the sky.

It is the only planet named after a Greek god!

COMIC: The Emperor’s Solar Flares and CMEs

(Heliosphere: Under the Sky is an original solar system project with personified stars and planets)

Space facts!

According to NASA, solar flares look like bright flashes of light on the sun. Coronal mass ejections look like clouds zooming out into space. Here’s their article about it!

Hello!

I’ll honestly be shocked if you remember me or this picture but I’ve been having a huge Zelda nostalgia trip for the past few months and just had to reach out to you when I discovered you have a Tumblr.  This is the very first picture I posted to deviantart 10 years ago, and the comment you left on it welcoming me into the fandom has stuck with me ever since as one of my happiest online memories.  My account (IndependantArtist) has long since been deactivated but I have so many fond memories of your art and fanfics about Vaati and Gufuu and everyone else.  You and so many other artists like Ferisae and LileahWest were a huge inspiration to me and I just wanted to say thank you for the happy (and admittedly quite edgy XD) times <3

Howdy there!!

First off, I’d like to thank you for reaching out! Oh my GOSH the nostalgia really hit REAL STRONG with this one!!! I think I do have vague memories of this, sadly very vague and fuzzy, but I am so touched to hear that!! Words can’t describe just how happy I was seeing and reading this in my inbox. Seeing your art now, it’s just such a lovely feeling seeing how much you’ve improved through the years too!! So glad you stuck around.

You’re very welcome! And thank you very much as well for making my day with this!!! Hahaha. Man those were some edgy times, but hey I guess it makes for the memories and really does make facing the present and the future all the more meaningful! <33

COMIC: Dense Planets + Saturn’s Rings

(Heliosphere: Under the Sky is an original solar system project with personified stars and planets)

Space facts!

“ Saturn’s rings are thought to be pieces of comets, asteroids, or shattered moons that broke up before they reached the planet, torn apart by Saturn’s powerful gravity.”- NASA page about Saturn

Saturn is not the only planet to have rings, but it’s the only planet with such prominent ones in our Solar System. Earth is the densest planet, but Mercury comes close. Saturn is the least dense planet.
