I have nothing against killing animals for food and I often eat meat myself but we need to stop creating an industry in which animals are abused and most of their parts go to waste.

*Guitar picks up*

If we keep taking advantage of our limited resources in order to provide a large amount of meat most of which goes to waste then we’ll end up with nothing but a bunch of diseased animals and polluted water.

*Sick drumbeat kicks in*

However this does not mean it’s okay to shame people for eating meat. It’s no one person’s fault that the industry has gotten out of hand. We’ve created a society over many years in which it’s quite hard to transition from large industries back to local and environmentally-friendly businesses.

And we can’t ignore the fact that the same thing has happened to the fruit/vegetable industry, it’s just a lot easier to point fingers when cute little animals are hurt.

It’s time we start practicing sustainable agriculture and take away power from out of control industries such as General Mills who own most of what we consume on a regular basis and don’t give a shit as long as they get money.

You wake in the night with your arm hanging over the side of your bed. It is still dark, and your bedroom is shrouded in deep shadow. Something unseen seizes your hand.

You grasp it tightly, knowing that first impressions are important and a firm, confident handshake will establish dominance.

A hollow voice echos under your bed, shaking you to your core, “You’re hired.”

Full time work should entitle someone to enough pay for rent, food, bills, and leisure activities. Full time work for a full life wage. You put in your 8 hours a day, 5 days a week? You should be able to afford the basic shit you need in life, no matter where you work.

I do agree with this but from economic standpoint if you are working at a job like McDonalds as someone flipping burgers and making fries you are getting paid for the amount of skill needed for the job. But if its any other job that requires you to have an actual skill that you can make a career out of then yeah you should be getting paid enough to live a standard life.

If you work FULL TIME you should be able to afford to fucking live. No, it doesn’t matter if it’s flipping burgers, these people contribute to our fucking economy and they MATTER. They should be allowed to be alive.

Please don’t do this. Piracy and things like this are probably the reason why they started doing the week delay for new episodes, in an attempt to get more memberships.

I’m not a huge fan of the week long wait, but I have to respect their decision. As a creator, and one who has friends that create content, pirating and shit like this decreases the chance of seasons being renewed and creators being allowed to continue to make and share new content.

And before people start with the “well, Rooster Teeth makes lots of money,” they’re still a relatively small company. Every dollar counts. Every view on the RT website shows interest in the show and every view with a membership shows that people are willing to put money towards the creation of the show. Doing shit like signing up for a membership and cancelling before a charge happens points out that people aren’t willing to put money into the show. Also pirating an episode that is still free to the public after a few days literally hurts their numbers. They rely on subscriptions, numbers of viewers, and ad revenue to justify which shows are kept on their schedule and which ones are dumped, so adblockers and view blockers hurt their numbers as well. Their data will show lower numbers of people who are willing to watch it even for free. Also bad numbers due to impatient people viewing somewhere that isn’t the RT site or their Youtube channel means they can’t hire as many people and they can’t justify keeping the show alive. Resources being taken away from a show leads to the show being cancelled.

Look, I understand people are upset about not being up to date and not wanting to get spoiled, but doing shit like this isn’t a good idea. They still put the content up a week later for free! Not many companies or studios do that. Please support official releases. Please consider paying for a First membership if you love their content. Don’t do this nonsense. You’re hurting the industry, the show, and writers and artists like you.
