Can you get Rod Serling on the phone?

I’ve mentioned on here before that I don’t really like horses (as in I am uncomfortable being physically around them, much less riding them. I know how and I have but I don’t *like* it. I think they’re aesthetically beautiful animals to admire at a distance/in art but. Don’t want to be with them), but my brother and father *love* horses. So they get asked a lot why I don’t, and it came up on a call today and basically:

Me: Well, yeah, it’s because- Brother: Oh probs [traumatic experience we had as kids with a horse] Me: Actually no, that one didn’t really scar me it was- Dad: Oh I know! [Traumatic experience with a horse we shared when I was a small child] Me: Uh, no, it’s actually [the traumatic experience I had as a kid with a horse that actually fucked me up that it turns out neither they nor my mother remembered even though I can still *name that evil fucking horse*] Dad&Brother: oh huh, haha, you’ve had a lot of experiences with horses! ........... Oh, now I see

Anyway yeah they’re fine to look at and I’m a competent enough rider but between that and a close friend of my friends (I knew her but barely) who literally died five years ago due to a horse accident and left my friends in horrendous grief..................... I don’t like horses guys.

I know I’m hardly the first to notice this but huh, it seems like it’s to be a steward on The Terror (AMC, 2018) it’s required to be queer coded or even better, canonically gay.

There’s Bridgens and Gibson who are apparently all about short kings; then everyone’s favorite “psychosexually obsessed with caring for my captain” haunted doll Jopson, “Solomon’s morality pet” Tommy Armitage, “was chilling in the hot tub not even a foot apart from Crispe because they are gay question mark” Hoar.....

(Skipping Genge and Aylmore since they are literal background extras who don’t show up before the first half of the show is over)
