It'd would be interesting to know if you think there are any pros to being contraflow as a sx/so, like that post aviesaurum did on pros of being sp/sx. But please go to the doctor first smh.
Ok yea, Contra flow fucking sucks lol. In our case, Sx and So push against each other, and push against people as well…
So, we end up jumping between these really vulnerable flashes of Extreme Extraversion, where we’re So-ing and showing off and putting ourselves out there, in order to make an Sx connection and switch over into that Focused Extraversion where we thrive. But we can either scare people off with our Sx assertiveness, or accidentally attract the wrong person during our So-ing and get stalked or worse. Or, what sometimes happens, is we don’t find a connection at all and sink into a deep depression where we aren’t getting either Sx or So fulfilled. Plus, we get like bed bugs or some shit. Bad.
But there’s benefits, obvs, when we do find a connection:
Sx/Sos are the most Sp-blind of the Sp-blinds imo, because 1. wedon’t build a large Social safety net to fall back on in the same way So/Sxs do,and 2. Because when you’re contraflow and torn between your variants and spending a lot of time getting neither of them fulfilled, you grow to actively fuckingdespise your blindspot
Sp-blinds live their lives without Sp’s “I must live forever”complex. And in the case of Sx/Sos, we actually see the risk of death asessential to living life to its fullest. At worst, this manifests as abunch of people unable to focus on the necessities of life, and willing to diefor absolutely anything. A fucking Klondike bar. Like, anything.
At best, though, you get people with a singular drive andpassion for being alive, laying down a legacy, and having a meaningful existenceregardless of how long or short that might be. You get people willing to diefor the things they’re passionate about/ willing to pursue their passionsregardless of the risk. (You see a lot of sp-blinds going after more risky professions, because we can’t really see ourselves doing anything else.)
Sx/Sos are more destructive than constructive. So asopposed to So/Sps, whose ascent to the top is more related to social bettermentand asceticism, we’re more hedonistic in our approach, and we sort of take thesesocial nosedives in order to catalyze situations and set an example.
I.E. people willing to die for their causes, or morerealistically, the guy whose legacy was dying and therefore making it illegal to parachutenaked or some shit
