Dr. Budd:  Look, I am not going to sit here anymore–

Dorothy:  I don’t know where you doctors lose your humanity, but you lose it.  You know, if all of you, at the beginning of your careers, could get very sick and very scared for a while, you’d probably learn more from that than anything else.  You’d better start listening to your patients.  They need to be heard.  They need caring.  They need compassion.  They need attending to.  You know, someday, Dr. Budd, you’re gonna be on the other side of the table, and as angry as I am, and as angry as I always will be, I still wish you a better doctor than you were to me.

nuh uh, no. Epic is a 17 billion dollar company. Apple is worth between 1.5 to 2 trillion dollars. i know numbers that big are hard to even conceive but it takes someone the size of Epic to even have a chance at Apple, that’s the point.

and rooting for Epic to get a bigger rev share of the bullshit they sell to children is unfortunately worthwhile bc multiple devs have come out and said that if places like Steam and Apple took a reasonable rev share, like 10 to 18%, instead of fucking 30%, it would literally change the state of the industry for indie devs. it’d be a massive shift. it would outright pay for more salaries, it would get more games greenlit, we would have a richer landscape.

also, Epic is really aiming high on this: Representing Epic in this matter is Christine Varney, a former FTC commissioner and head of the Justice Department’s antitrust division under President Obama.

and its a small step, but a good ruling on this might be a step in the right direction against the Disneys of the world.
