It is alarming and unsettling that Adrien and the citizens of Paris view Gabriel as a heroic figure, despite his history of being an abusive parent and a terrorist. It is especially concerning that Adrien aspires to be like him, given the traumatic experiences he has endured..
This diminishes the importance of the abuse Gabriel caused him, which is disappointing. It is unfortunate that the show did not adequately tackle this problem and instead erased it from Adrien's memory. This is a disappointment for both the character and the fans. Adrien had significant growth in "Representation" and "Conformation," but because of Gabriel's wish, all that character development is disregarded.
It is even more disappointing that Gabriel was somewhat redeemed in the end.
When a character engages in multiple harmful actions, avoids punishment, and doesn’t learn any lessons until the end, but still receives undeserved forgiveness to resolve the plot.
This applies to Gabriel and Felix.
He should have been held accountable and imprisoned. It doesn't make sense to include such a storyline in a children's show without a proper resolution.
In general, the ending was quite underwhelming, as it was supposed to wrap up everything. It is also dissatisfying that Marinette confronted Gabriel and gave Adrien his freedom instead of Adrien being present with his girlfriend, fighting his father together as a united front, especially since it is his own family conflict.
Adrien does have the right to know that his late father is Monarch is a horrible excuse for a parent. There is a time and place for everything and keeping him in the dark about something like that is just wrong.
I understand it because of his response to Monarch being a cataclysmed in Destruction, where he blamed himself. He failed to recognize that Monarch is responsible for his own actions and willingly chose to take the cataclysm. He was deeply affected and imagined how much more devastated he would have been if he had been the main reason for his father's death.
Chat Noir cannot be blamed for what happened. Gabriel brought about his own downfall through his actions in Destruction by taking Chat Noir's cataclysm. He brought about his own demise.

What the fuck happened in Genloss?
Hey uh yeah your Minecraft Roleplay characters? Yeah they got doomed by the narrative. Yeah. Sorry. The server fell apart before their storyline could be completed and their relationship got basically ignored before their respective arcs ended for good. Yeah and the last lore they had together was soul-crushing angst. Sorry. They’ll haunt you forever now. They were gay married though
