Kappa gets a little style advice from @s0fti3w1tch’s Trainee.
He ends up keeping his regular mask style so not to step on a fellow Leo’s toes, but he might do it for his next date with Usagi.
Marvel Comics #1000: We’re Calling Him Ben
I feel this is an important addition. He saves so many people on a regular basis that this just keeps happening. And he feels so much for his uncle that the answer is always the same.
…. This hits different when you realise he’s canonically Jewish
Can you please elaborate ? I’m curious as to what it means
You can read a pretty good summary of it here, but as (most likely) Ashkenazi Jews, PP probably follows the minhag (custom) that says “that by naming a newborn child after a deceased loved one, the soul lives on through the child.” (Quoted from the site linked above.) And given how his Uncle Ben died, it just makes it all the more sadder tbh.
another fine distinction is that the soul isn’t thought to be reincarnated, it’s that the memory of the loved one is kept alive and more good deeds in life can be inspired by (and thus partially attributed to) the dead. ‘may their memory be a blessing’–the memory of the deceased is honored, respected, and who they were is retold as inspiration to the next generation.
ben’s memory is a blessing. that’s extremely jewish. spiderman is inspired not just by the shame of his death, but by the moral teachings he’d given peter in life. and his name given to these babies is another part of it: babies named in spiderman’s honor are also very honestly and truly named in his honor, and continue to be blessings to the world.
it’s very joyous, i think. very sweet.

Requested by anon: SPOVA WEEK: I’LL SAVE YOU
Felt like drawing some nearly 10-year old fan character troublemakers. They are still entertaining to draw even after several years of avoidance.
Love you, Little character abominations.
Didn’t post this here originally, but there ended up being way more SRMTHFG fans on Tumblr than I initially thought. These are the things I found inside the TMNT art book that paid homage to Ciro’s previous series, (missed a pic of Captain Beefy Box, whoops) Plus a couple extra things he gave me with it. I recently discovered that Super Robot innards fade when there is no light, which is pretty sick. A fabulous opportunity I hadn’t expected for this networking event!
I will commend any creator who can make me like an IP because they were clever with it and I am not a TMNT fan, but I have watched this show several times already. (Whomever made Transformers: Prime has also won my admiration)
Late to the 15th anniversary, but I got my idea for what I wanted to do recently. I may not dabble with this show as much, but recall it fondly and happy that I was able to meet Ciro in person.
Lol, Tumblr really won’t take this fully finished gif.
It’s been another minute since I last animated this cross monkey, so I wanted to explore a fight scenario with some good old goopy formless.
TVPaint 11/ Clip Studio
I found these hiding in one of my finished art files as a series of layers, I’d nearly forgotten about them. (Lol, a bad habit waiting to happen.) I did go and add a few more to fill it out and it’d been a while since I’d drawn some Valeena and Jinmay.
I really miss drawing/ writing Razor and Ebony interactions, they wouldn’t be so serious and edgy now that I’m not 16 anymore.
