Poker - How to mansplain the jargon!
As far as this still fresh new world of poker is concerned, it is still hard to classify. Of course, we all know that poker is the best game in the world, hands down. But what really sets it apart from other games, is the word that is used to describe the game. afa Poker.
Before you learn the complete word, be warned that it can cause you to bust far more than you have ever thought possible. This is the crux of the matter. Poker is a game of egos, where men put women on a pedestal and think the women will never betray them, while men think they know poker and will infallibly win. This is old. It dates back hundreds of years.
In today's game, men act like teenagers, women like to think they are sophisticated and in control and women (like most things in life) are complex. This means that women will make a lot of mistakes on the table. Learn from women who are extremely good at poker, especially online poker, and you will improve your poker considerably. When you learn the terminology of the game, you canoutheastern what really matters about the game: who is higher and who is lower.

If you are a beginner, the word freshman can be very powerful and can scare off even the most aggressive of gamblers. The word coaster comes from the name of a horse that is stable, while the term rake comes from the word "the rake," meaning the cut of the pot. The first participant of the game is called a poker roller. Once you learn the jargon of the game, you will be able to tell who is a novice and who is a practiced player. You'll also realize that there are no stakes at all in poker--just people playing for a reason to play the game.
Five cards are dealt to every player, face down. These cards are called the hole cards or the pocket cards. If you are playing poker online, these cards will be deposited to your player account.
The first round of betting, or the pre-flop betting, begins with the small blind. This person is not a player, so no money is exchanging hands. In a live poker room, the blinds will be people placing bets, and the first blind bet will be given to the player with the lowest bet.
The first round of action consists of the players either calling, raising or folding, to the best of their cards. There is no flop, so the cards are live. After this betting round, the dealer will throw out these cards and replace them with new cards. At this point, there is no longer any need to chase the dealer out of the game since the deck is now being re-shuffled.
The dealer will then deal three cards face up on the table. These cards are called the flop. Another round of betting occurs, starting with the player sitting to the left of the dealer. Once this betting round is completed, the dealer will turn over another card and discard, or burn, the top card of the deck. This is called the turn. Once this betting round is completed, the dealer will burn another card and turn over the last card, or the river.
Then, the dealer will burn a card and turn face up the final card, called the river. After this last round of betting, the players will usually reveal their hands. The player who holds the best hand wins the pot. The game is usually completed by the showdown, whereby the player who holds the best hand battles other players for possession of the pot.
Just a few pointers
1. Since no real money is involved, you'll find far fewer people willing to put in their money to play online poker than you will at a casino.
2. Be sure to learn all the rules before getting into the game.
3. Practice playing the game. Develop your own feel for the game.
4. Bonus matches are the bonus that everyone wants. Almost every site offers bonus codes that you can use to get extra credit. Use one of these to play for free!
5. Sorry, no poker whatsoever if you are playing at a website that doesn't offer the massive bonuses that other sites offer.
Hope that you found this helpful, and I wish you all the best!
