Once this betting round is completed, the dealer will burn another card and turn over the last card, or the river.

Then, the dealer will burn a card and turn face up the final card, called the river. After this last round of betting, the players will usually reveal their hands. The player who holds the best hand wins the pot. The game is usually completed by the showdown, whereby the player who holds the best hand battles other players for possession of the pot.
