eating a meal really does make a total sense of peace wash over you. things become more bearable. clear. like you’ve been sitting in the dark for hours and someone came in and turned on the light. not harsh overhead lighting but a lamp. soft and gentle warm glow. Has anyone else ever tried this

I made this last year when reading Dracula Daily, but I was too much of a coward to post it. Now I am no longer held back by earthly matters such as "reputation".

This is the original text from the book, but wildly misinterpreted. enjoy

unfortunately if you are an old friend of mine i will always care about you no matter what even if we haven't seen each other in forever because i still remember what you were like 7 years ago and i still remember how it felt to be young with you and i still have a lot of love for you in the back of my mind

if you're not obsessed with anything weird and niche please try harder. stop going outside for a while. consider getting weirder about the things you already like

Though many believe that Bram Stoker did not write an entry on the 13th of May in Dracula, I have found through thorough evidence that he did indeed write one. Here it is, below, in its entirety, unedited.

JONATHAN HARKER’S JOURNAL (KEPT IN SHORTHAND)

13th May. The Castle - This sucks. Absolutely terrible. Worst Airbnb host ever. (Mem., remember to ask Mina to leave bad review for Count.)

People need to get used to the idea of getting older and even romanticize it there’s so much you gain by aging and learning every day there’s beauty in someone whose years show on their face. I’m sick and tired of people turning 25 and being like omg I’m so old I’m having an identity crisis. get a grip. Bitch.

I find it funny whenever anyone makes fun of Jonathan for being English because literally all his best traits are based in his non-compliance with English stereotypes and masculinity.

Fun Fact for new readers: The vampire women are never referred to by the book as “brides”—the whole “Brides of Dracula” name for them doesn’t show up until a good 3+ decades later.

That being considered, I invite you to conceptualize them as Dracula’s Roommates with me, who refuse to do any chores and keep trying to eat his food out of the fridge.
