Aitah? I forcibly gave my son a haircut.
My son, 8, is a lazy brat who can most often be found eating.
He makes messes everywhere he goes.
And he refused to do anything about his hair.
It was so long and matted that things were starting to get tangled in it.
So one day I held him down and took some scissors to him.
He wasn't happy about, that's for sure.
Now he looks bad and my dad (63) has been making fun of my boy.
Aitah? He took pride in his hair.

We were having 100 degree weather and we have no AC. I did what I could. He has been distant ever since.

They are not as high-profile as the WGA, but I would like to bring everyone's attention to the imminent strike action by thousands of hotel workers in Los Angeles. They are set to go on strike tomorrow, July 1st, 2023.
More than 15,000 hotel workers are seeking higher pay, better benefits, and working conditions. This includes an across-the-board $5 an hour raise, as well as affordable healthcare and better pensions. They also are seeking a ban on the use of E-Verify, which is used to deny employment to undocumented workers and workers involved with the criminal justice system. oh this comic shows up in a really cool anthology i bought a few years back (and was just rereading in fact) called No Straight Lines. it covers the last 40 years of LGBT comics and the various phases, influences and unsung heroes of the zine scene and more. (such as a chapter that focuses heavily on what art and stories resulted from the AIDS crisis, the clash of the gay sexual revolution and the rise of homosexual monogamy, and more.) highly recommended if you’re interested in LGBT history and comics!

last post got roughly $150 and then died. luckily my uncle got my late grandmas last social security check and was able to afford another month of rent, however we are still seeking affordable housing for him.
i'm trying to raise enough for first last and security so as soon as a place pops up we can immediately jump on it. he cannot afford to keep staying where he is, as the rent the same price as his disability check. he cannot work after his heart attack and is permanently disabled.
