I kinda want to get my protagonist girl, Armina Enyo, illustrated because the design in my head is so cool.
So first of all, she's PoC, not sold on a specific shade yet. Deep crimson hair, it is shaved on the right side which reveals some cybernetic implants on her head, the hair is short and curly. The eyes look normal with a bronze iris, but upon further inspection they are cybernetic which is very important.
She has to be built, not only is she a bounty hunter but she was trained by the military to be the best of the best, due to her natural powers.
For her outfit this is where I take some inspiration from fist of the Northstar as I like the idea of those pauldrons they tend to have, and the jackets. Particularly I want her to have a black leather jacket with short sleeves.
She wears a red bulletproof vest underneath, it has to be a similar shade to her hair.
Her pants are nothing special, black, flexible, not super familiar with cloths that would allow for better movement as this is still something I have to work on.
No holsters, because her powers while technically a form of earth bending, they fit more on the alchemy type of deal as she can change metals into other metals which her cybernetic enhancements allow her to form into different weapons which although maybe not the same quality allow her to be very versatile with how she chooses to approach a situation.
i don't really wanna think too much about the whole powers situation because sure, spaceships, but I want to aim for a more space fantasy type of vibe.
Many people are noting that Nimona isn't very subtle about its message and themes (cue the rainbow breathe weapon). And you know what, I think it's awesome. We're used to thinking subtlety is good, and even queer people frequently agree that queer stories should be "well made" and "not too preachy". That's not wrong in itself, but here's the thing: after spending millennia as "the love that dare not speak its name", we desperately need stuff that isn't subtle, but loudly, blatantly, obnoxiously queer... AND well made, because these are not opposites. Subtlety for its own sake becomes just another closet. After realizing it, I won't be comfortable writing queer subtext anymore -- not until I see queer text become commonplace.
I really hope one day I can make my own web show, like I've had this idea for ages but like I'm poor and I want to pay people.
Like the whole idea is a 3D animated show about a bounty hunter girl on her adventures in space that I've written a pilot for but I'd at least wish to get it animated.
I feel like it would be very expensive because of the animation techniques, sound design and music I'd want to use, which include playing around with the colors of the textures to change the tone of a scene and highlight certain moments, playing with perspective and the black boxes typically associated with different aspect ratios in a monitor, cel shading, mixing up animating on 1s and 2s, maybe even on 3s, really meaty engine and gun noises, and for the music all I have in mind is eurobeat.
While I do have a storyline and I have been doing world building for like the past 10 years, I feel like it's a project that won't go past the writing phase
My two biggest inspirations for the tone of the show and character design is Fist of the Northstar and Initial D
The main character is a human bounty hunter that has a natural affinity towards ground magic, while I don't wanna touch too much on the story, she has cybernetic enhancements provided to her by the military of her country that she kinda stole by fleeing, so part of the show involves her avoiding other bounty hunters
Her main motivation is to explore what the universe has to offer and experience a life that her shielded country couldn't offer. There's more I could go on about but if I ever go into more detail I'd rather just hire people to animate it and work with them on the project

thinking of the time I ordered olive garden online and I put "please speak to me in an Italian accent" in the special requests category and completely forgot about it, and when I went to pick it up the guy comes out and goes "eyyy I got-a your-a order bappada boopity!" and when I told him he didn't actually have to do it he was like "a-nooo I was-a looking forward to it! I was-a the only one-a brave enough to do it!"
there are literally ppl in the notes acting like I made this up.... guys if I were gonna make up a story it would be about literally anything other than this
