For the past 2 months, I've been near silent due to an art project I've been creating. This is my first time ever animating, so I hope it came out good for me being a first-timer. While this was exhausting and time consuming, I cant thank the Risathon discord and this art exchanges host, Petra, and the other mods enough for helping me finally get into animation and pushing my limits wen it comes to art. This was a blast to participate in! Thank u all! And ENJOY the art!
Here are the gifs of the separate turtle piles.
And finally, the colored finale turtle pile!
Pharmacist said it may be weeeekkss before they get my adhd meds in. I ran out on Monday and the week hasn’t been terrible but that’s only bc all my clients are vacationing or about to be on vacation. Every moderately difficult task I’ve needed to do has been next to impossible. So. Here we are.
I've been dealing with shortages on seizure meds on and off since late 2020 so here is a list of things I have done to get refills when my normal pharmacy ran out.
Call every pharmacy in the area. Different stores use different suppliers. Different suppliers run out at different times or some stores just have left over stock. A lot of pharmacies have a system that lets them check the stock of other locations so calling one allows them to find the nearest location with stock. You don't need a membership to use Costco Pharmacy so don't forget about them.
Look into any local compound pharmacies. This will cost more but it's an option if you can afford it. They need the drugs in powder/liquid form so they have access to different suppliers and at least when it comes to seizure meds they always had some on hand.
Online pharmacies are an option that I have had to resort to a few times even though I'm not a fan.
Hospitals have pharmacies and while many have restrictions on who can use them it is worth looking into if you qualify.
Hope that helps, good luck!
the stress of everyday life is overriding my sense of humanity again so i am once again playing "everyone's first day" to readjust my empathy levels. the rules are simple: for every stranger i interact with, i pretend it's their first day at their job. it makes me appreciate how much tacit knowledge everyone around me has learned and applies, and imagining how they fared in the beginning - how i would have fared - makes me see everyone as a singular person full of life experience again instead of an environment i fight my way through. the coffee shop employee making my order makes it quickly despite a huge menu, its impressive they memorised that on their first day. the bus driver gets us there safely and memorised all the routes and still nods at me in approval, and that's all on his first day! and the person who ran into me without apologizing is just in a hurry, wouldn't wanna be late on their first day. and after a while, you realize that all that is still true on a second day or the hundredth, and even if you give up the pretense the forgiveness stays. try it some time!
Q!Tallulah: dude, why are you like this?
Q!Chayanne: the true question is why aren't you all like me? none of us had a decent parental figure
surprised that i haven't seen anyone do this yet
Watching the difference between the Twitter migration mentality vs. the Reddit migration mentality is fucking hilarious.
Like, when Twitter users started moving over here everyone was pulling out all the stops and bringing back old fandoms that they were into and basically firing rent lowering shots by being super cringey.
And then all of the sudden when the Reddit refugees start showing up we're like, "ah yes, pull up a log and gather around the dumpster fire. We'll teach you how to not get killed by people hunting down bots and carve out a little area for you guys to relax and get used to the site before we throw you into the deep end of this hellsite that we call home. Tomorrow is Let Papyrus say Fuck day so you can prepare for that if you want. You want some hot coco and a blanket?"
You can only reblog this today or until the next Monday, June 19th, 2028.
