I have left instruction. The people are to follow your rule in my stead THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING 2003 | dir. Peter Jackson

I’ve never seen this frame I’m not ok right now. I can’t even form sentences LOOK AT HIS FACE! LOOK AT HIS FUCKIN FINGERS.

Cant stop look at this picture

"No need to tell him what to observe, or what to remember. He always knew such things. Years ago, when I'd done the dark magic on him, I hadn't had to tell him anything; he had savored the smallest aspects of it all on his own. And later he'd said I'd failed to guide him. Didn't he know how unnecessary that had always been?"

─ Lestat talking about Louis from Queen of the damned

gabriel and beelzebub were able to run away together without looking back bc unlike crowley and aziraphale, they didn’t really have much else going for them/holding them back. of course they could fuck off to Alpha Centauri. of course love was enough and everything was so simple. bc they didn’t care about heaven or hell. they didn’t care about humanity or earth. they spent two weeks there, tops. aziraphale and crowley were there from the very beginning. they watched adam and eve leave eden. they watched the rise and fall of nations. the invention of the car. roamed the planet for 6000 years. aziraphale believed in his mission — in being good and helping humans. and at his heart, so did crowley. coupled with the fact that aziraphale may very well feel guilt for crowley’s fall, their inability to communicate despite centuries of loving each other, and their loyalty to the people they’ve served since conception…….of course they couldn’t just walk off into the sunset

some people saying how the movie ended with pseudofeminism because the happy ending was Barbies having the power and control back and Kens being back to being ignored and only having insignificant position of power. Like? Isn't that the point? Barbieland was painted as reversed real world, where there's matriarchy instead of patriarchy and Kens are the accessories, not women. The ending of Barbie, where Kens got that little bit of power that was seen like a win was to me just what happens after feminist waves, where women get that one little thing towards equality, but never full equality. It's just journey towards it and with a long way to go. The Barbieland stayed matriarchy the same way the real world stayed the patriarchy. It was not a happy ending where everyone got equal. It was the beginning of a journey, one we in our real world had gone through.

Nick and Tao this season….it’s the way that they have mirrored trauma. Nick was abandoned by his father and Tao’s father died. Nick, in turn, has shut himself away for a long time. He’s been afraid to be vulnerable, to let people in to see his true self, because his own father has no interest in who he is. On the flip side, Tao has done the opposite. He clings to his friends, loves them loudly, as Nick says, and sometimes his fear gets the better of him, and he holds on too tightly. Tao has to learn to let go of some of that fear, to trust he won’t lose his friends if he allows for change. Nick has to learn to let people in, to be honest about himself without fear of rejection. They’re opposite arcs, but they come from such similar places of loss.

what's the most demented thing you guys got in trouble for in school mine was when an english boy in my class made fun of my name and called my mum a (derogatory word for irish travellers) so i told him my ira uncle was in town and was coming to blow him up after school

No one wants to admit this but you don’t actually have to eat eggs and dairy for breakfast. Farmers just did that because they’d milk the cows and collect eggs in the morning. You can literally make a sandwich or a bowl of pasta or really anything you want for breakfast. There isn’t some medical reason you have to eat cereal and milk or fried eggs in the morning—our idea of “breakfast food” is an entirely artificial construct. Do what makes you happy.
