i totes agree with everyone's comments regarding the upcoming seasons of sanditon. i honestly just feel like the reason the show got renewed in the first place was because it was piggybacking off of the bridgerton hype and now with theo not coming back and the second male lead potentially not coming back either, i don't see where they really go from there? are they just going to have charlotte fall for another "hot guy" and just act like sidney never existed?
Well technically it got renewed a couple days before Bridgerton came out but now that you mention it, depending on when they knew Theo was out for sure, I wonder if its popularity had any influence on continuing the show without him or not. From what they’ve told us so far they’ve planned a whole new love interest for Charlotte, and from what’s been implied it looks like they might be planning to retcon sidlotte into a young love/ learning lesson making Sidney into a Willoughby type 🙄 Or idk maybe he’ll be hastily written off in one line of dialogue, I wouldn’t be surprised given how determined they are to have us move on. I honestly don’t see how they can avoid mentioning him when all the Parkers are returning?? His absence is going to be a giant elephant in the room I swear
Where is everyone getting the impression that Sidney will be turned into Willoughby? I haven’t gotten that impression at all.... Justin is fond of Sidney. I doubt he’ll write him as a villain. As far as Bridgerton, if Sanditon was renewed before, then the hype is irrelevant. Besides recasting for Sidney (which they may have tried, we don’t know), the only other option would be to cancel the renewal :(
