Kate Blanchett is now one of my favorite actresses after watching TAR. Holy hell, she owned that role.
1. To everyone saying that Gemma is a bad parent and is the real villain can actually fuck all the way off.
Newsflash, Gemma never actually wanted to be a parent. She chose career. The fact that she brought in the girl when she could have sent her off to the weird grandparents speaks to her growth. Period.
2. M3gan is iconic. I loved the movie even though the foundational idea of AI being evil isn’t new.
3. The scene with that boy was dark as hell but real af. Also, M3gan wasn’t wrong about when when bad boys grow up they become bad men.
4. They shouldn’t have had M3gan be able to control absolutely everything connected to electricity. A car’s engine isn’t digital, it’s not connected to the internet or to bluetooth. It would make more sense if she could hotwire it because she’s connected to the internet and now has the knowledge to be able to do that.
5. M3gan is that girl and I love that she was so obsessed with the person she paired with and how that relationship truly became toxic. It’s basically a mirror to how obsessed we are to our screens who are “always there for us” and “always understand us”.

It took me this long to watch this masterpiece of a movie. M3gan is that girl!
I cried. I threw up. I shook. I climbed the walls. I cried some more. I tore my hair out. I saw the light. I was on the brink of death. And I cried even more. Charlotte and George were everything and then some. Like my brain chemistry has been permanently altered. I will never be the same. Every time I think about them I’m launched into a brand new mental breakdown. I don’t know how I will recover from this.
