This song is gonna be on of two original songs that will be featured in my future sequel to my story The Snowflake, which you can read here.
This songs written on a whim in one day, heavily inspired by all the info coming out of both Annecy (special thanks to @justlookatthosesausages for divulging what she saw) and D23 Expo last weekend.
This takes place after the charades scene. Jack checks on Elsa, because I headcanon that Jack, a being a who thrives on fun, can sense when people aren’t having fun and/or distressed, something he has over Anna when it comes to Elsa. He goes to check on her, but knows only Anna can cheer her up.
After the sisters fall asleep, he’s glad, but can’t help but wish he was the one able to help her. He is not jealous of Anna, more like he wishes deep down that he could be someone like that for her. Someone special and irreplaceable.
Ever since the Great Thaw, Jack has been feeling out of place in Arendelle, despite being welcomed there by Elsa and the others. It’s a heavy case of imposter syndrome, and lack of direction. His reason for being there was to help Elsa control her powers and reunite with Anna, but now that she has control as well as Anna - not to mention is capable of having fun without him - he’s struggling to find a purpose to keep him close to Elsa. He WANTS to be there, but cannot shake the feeling he’s part of a picture he’s not supposed to be in. (Technically not since he’s from ROTG and he’s in Frozen, lol)
He doesn’t know what he ‘s feeling, and is afraid to name it. Not to mention he’s still feeling guilty for leaving Elsa right before her parents died, and for selfish reasons. He has taken “Love is selflessness” to heart, but in doing so, has unknowingly given up his right to love her, even if he isn’t aware that he loves her yet.
His feelings are complicated, so bottom line is, he’s trying not to be selfish, for he’s afraid that if he does become selfish with her, he loses his right to be a part of her life.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg for his problems in the sequel.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed it! I’m super excited to write this story, as you can tell, and also excited for Frozen II!
But first… gotta finish The Snowflake 1 first!

No two snowflakes look the same… Or so he thought before he met her. His first ever believer. But now it’s up to him to help her control her powers of ice and snow, bring back Summer, and save the kingdom. It won’t be easy, but he knows that whatever comes their way, they’ll brave the storm together.
The following cover art was a commission done by the talented @hotcuppahjo-art. She did a tremendous job bringing to life what I had envisioned for the cover. Please show her some love, because she truly deserves props for making this piece!
This story includes several original songs that I have written to properly articulate what it would be like if Jack were part of the movie Frozen.
He also looks the part, wearing his long coat from the ROTG short comic “Winter Spirit,” only with his vest underneath also. That’s what I figure he would have worn to Elsa’s coronation.

Tbh this movie was an actual masterpiece and work of art? Not to be dramatic or anything. It’s just so visually stunning. I really liked it when the Easter bunny turned into a cute little baby bunny 😭
