I wonder if Christmas mood makes him think of his other family.
Of course he's living a much better life now: he has settled down, has more friends and also a very supportive family of his own-
But Raditz and Nappa were the only people he had for 20 years. I guess they were chaotic at best and must have fought more than got along, but just having another Saiyan by your side can be comforting when you have to survive under a tyrant with your whole planet gone. I don't think Saiyans were good with emotional fluffy family stuffs, but having each other must have helped even if all they did was go on missions together.
They were the only ones to really know Vegeta from those 30 years before he came to Earth. They would mean something to him.
