The planet goes on being round

Call me Dee. 24. Aro. Ace. Queer. They/Them. White. Sometimes, I actually know what I'm doing. A feminism that disregards intersectionality is a shitty feminism.

If I had to see this, then all of you have to as well

The response to "ace people are just virgins who can't get laid!" Shouldn't be "ace people can still have sex!" but instead " being a virgin isn't a bad thing."

The response to "aro people are just heartless freaks!" Shouldn't be "aro people can still feel love!" And instead be "not feeling love or other emotions doesn't make you a bad person."

Instead of pushing the idea that aspec people can be "normal like allos" we should instead be trying to normalize aspec experiences. Yes aspec people can be normal because aspec identities are normal. Some aros fall in love. some aces have sex. but they should not be the only valid aspec experiences. We should not use these experiences to make the aspec identity more palatable to amatonormativity and allos.

NEIL HELP

I'm supposed to go to a birthday party tomorrow and I really don't want to... my best friend is the only one I feel comfortable with and she can't make it.. how do I avoid this without being rude or hurting anyone? I'm really nervous.

I believe that the phrase "I'm really sorry, some personal stuff that I can't talk about came up unexpectedly and I won't be able to come" is designed to get you out of things you don't want to go to.

If people press you, you are allowed to repeat, "It's personal. I'm afraid I can't talk about it."

i’m starting a movement to stop calling this shit “artificial intelligence” cause it’s fucking not. it’s not intelligent, and the things it produces are not informed by logical choices. it doesn’t know how to research sources for you. it doesn’t compose art thoughtfully or meaningfully.

call it machine-generated, text generator, chat bot, but it’s not intelligent.

I use "procedurally-generated," which seems to convey the idea pretty well.

Something that gets lost in the contemporary pressure to have an iron-clad identity is the subversive power of saying "it's none of your business."

this is so wild

Narration, in a serious, dramatic voice: We find no evidence paranormal activity inside this mine, but we do find an absolutely adorable kitty kitty.

Person on screen, using a baby voice: Hi little kitty kitty! Hi little kitty kitty! Ohh, you’re just a little kitty kitty!

In black all-caps handwriting, it reads: "What kind of paint are you using to paint over this? Because if it is latex, its probably way too cold for it, you want good adhesion, you need like at least 40°-45°. Maybe wait till it warms up a little, I mean what's the big rush? Like, I'm in a rush now but our situations are different" /end id]

well the 10 year update to this saga is that I don’t talk to my mom and I have my own toaster 👍 don’t let your dreams be dreams

this is absolutely fucking pathetic now every single fucking streaming service is gonna start doing this shit. all y'all had to do was not watch Netflix and let it flop for a few months and they would have given up

This is very misleading, and that's on purpose.

The data they're using, at least the data that I saw, was from a four day period (May 23rd - 27th) before the account sharing ban went into effect on the 1st of June. They're doing this to try and convince people there's no real means to fight back against them.

Here is the data I was talking about.

And a close-up so y'all can see what I'm talking about.

Notice the sharp drop that came immediately after the spike in new subscribers? Also, notice how they had to cut it off almost immediately?

Don't let them fool you into thinking it's futile to fight back.
