Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old ER technician and former EMT, was lying in her own bed when police broke in and shot her eight times without so much as announcing their presence. Say her name. Do the work. Text. Call. Sign. Donate.

Remember when the fucking Notre Dame burned down and everyone knew instantly and it was over every single news outlet?

Well there’s been a massacre going on in Sudan for DAYS and NOBODIES COVERING IT!

So there is currently a media blackout in Sudan to try and coverup the horrors taking place:

Stop what you’re doing and please reblog this. Innocent people are being murdered, people are trapped, have no internet access, and are being raped by the dozens on the streets of Sudan.

The death toll is estimated to be over 300 civilians. And the fact that not a single major news outlet is covering this is horrific and disgusting. Please help get the word out about Sudan!

I’m the kinda person that if you ever meant something to me, I’ll always kinda care for you. Not in a weird way like I haven’t moved on or I’m not over it; but from a distance, I truly wish you happiness. Even if we never speak again, even if I have to cut you off for my own sake, even if time or distance or life circumstances separates us, no matter what happens… I hope you find happiness, peace and success. Even if we never talk again, I’ll always wish that for you.

ways to escape:

  • listen to music that makes you calm or happy
  • read a storybook
  • watch a movie and pay full attention to it
  • turn off your phone for a while
  • take a break from the internet
  • go on a walk or bike ride outside
  • close your eyes and breathe deeply
  • write a story or do journalling
  • hide under your blankets for a while
  • light a candle or smell something pleasant
  • listen to rain or white noise
  • nurture a plant or pet an animal
  • drink something warm
  • paint a picture or do some coloring
  • touch something soft or hug something
  • look at nature or the scenery from your window
  • remember the good things in life

Life doesn’t end at 23. 30 isn’t old. Fetishising youth as the ultimate desirable characteristic in a person is actively harmful to both young and old people. Some of us lost our teenage years to abuse and recovery, and can only begin living when we’re at a different life stage.  Literally knock it off, the lot of you.

“There’s a lot of a lot on this album. I’m trying to convey an emotional spectrum. I definitely don’t wanna have too much of one thing…. You get some joyful songs and you get the bops, as they say.” There’s also, she adds, some “really, really, really, really sad songs,” but “not enough to where you need to worry about me. This time around I feel more comfortable being brave enough to be vulnerable, because my fans are brave enough to be vulnerable with me. Once people delve into the album, it’ll become pretty clear that that’s more of the fingerprint of this — that it’s much more of a singer-songwriter, personal journey than the last one.”
