Because I'm Batman!

Hey here’s probably the only person still so obsessed with DxS coming back at you with some wedding ideas.

It’s likely I’ve made posts about some of these details in other older posts but whatever.

First let’s go over the stuff that inspired me to make this post.

Sam and Danny have their first dance to the song “Inevitable” by Anberlin. It is such a perfect song, it’s about childhood friends falling in love. It’s perfect.

The song “Father and Daughter” by Paul Simon is the song Sam and her dad dance to.

As a kid, her favorite show was “The Wild Thornberries” and her dad took her to see it on the day it came out in 2002, on Friday, December 20th. A day before their 2 week holiday break. He picked her up after school and they spent the rest of the day together before he took her to see it.

Their wedding is small and intimate. It’s paid for by themselves. Because it’s small, they’re able to spend money on really amazing food. They have amazing drinks. Alcoholic and non alcoholic like mocktails. The ceremony takes place in a planetarium and the reception takes place in an indoor garden with huge windows and sky lights. It’s perfect for Danny and Sam.

There’s fun games and the party favors are amazing. Everyone has a blast and they dance the night away.

They spend a few days taking it easy after everything before going on their honeymoon, a long one, that will take them to places all over Asia and Europe.

Obviously Tucker was the best man. And Danny has 4 college friends as groomsmen. Jazz is Sam’s maid of honor. Val and Dani are bridesmaids along with 2 of Sam’s college friends. They have flower crowns and bouquets.

They don’t ask for gifts but ask that donations be made to a charity they picked.

The wedding night…is a lot of fun. The day Danny proposed, Sam decided they would sleep together one last time that night before being celibate until the wedding. And they did. So they have a really good night

Sam gets DOWN at weddings. The trio is, canonically, millennials. Being alternative, she does lose herself to MCR, Evanescence, metal bands, punk rock. Everything you’d expect. But as an adult, she stops denying herself and gets down to the more popular songs of the early 2000s.

Yeah! By Usher? She’s in the dance floor.

Umbrella? Toxic? Crazy in Love? Hot in here?

She’s getting down to it all.

Like I stated, in an earlier post she doesn’t have rhythm.

That’s not changing.

But she’s decent when she’s dancing at weddings.

Sam was that high school student. The one keeping concert ticket stubs. She keeps the wristbands. She scrapbooks it all. She does the same with the badges.

She’s also going to things like ComicCon and Awesome Con.

She’s always going for the best seats, the extra perks, the extras, etc.

It’s not like they can’t afford it.

She does take Danny and Tucker to the conventions. Pays for plane tickets, hotels, food, etc. for them.

She has internet friends that she’ll meet up with at cons. Concerts also, when Danny and Tucker aren’t interested

Sam always makes her own costumes for cons and she’s pretty good at it and her skills improve over time.

Middle school and high school Sam definitely would have the biggest crushes on even the most mediocre goth/punk/alternative boys.

Like Margo from Despicable Me 2 has a crush on that guy and he’s a total clown?

Eye liner, converse, emo hair, skinny jeans ,thick rim glasses, skinny ties over shirts they have no business being paired with.

Legit sam, will, un-ironically say things like “he’s so deep” and “oh my god, he GETS me” when they say the dumbest shit

i dont think we give karl urban enough credit for his acting in this extended edition scene of eomer discovering eowyn in pelennor fields because. my goodness

Tags are fantastic, and if you’re on the fence about reading the books please know Eomer finds her before the battle ends in the original, and thinking she is dead goes absolutely feral on the enemy.

The narration is even like “newly king, Eomer says FUCK TACTICS LETS KILL ORCS, and it is not a good decision but he sure did make it emphatically.”

I think the logic here is:

>we save people from fires

>fires can kill anyone, including queer people

>we also save queer people from fires

And in an age where paramedics legally refused to save the life of a trans car crash victim, that’s an important sentiment to state

Grabs a sharpie and adds “And Neither Do We”
