IM GOING TO PASS OUT
Sometimes you see a post and just realize there’s some Wild Shit going on in a community you never knew existed
Finally, I understand
THIS IS WHAT I’VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT. THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL POST.
I mad agree with this.
This reminds me, if y'all haven’t heard of therapyforblackgirls.com please visit if you need a therapist. You can search by mental health need, location/distance, insurance, etc. I believe there are some that provide a sliding scale payment method for those without insurance.
If you’re not quite ready to make the jump, there is a podcast you can listen to as well as articles and links to help answer some of your questions about mental health and/or therapy.
The purpose, as I understand it, is to provide a place where black women can go to find culturally sensitive therapy. Some specialize in family/couples as well.
Take a look.
For any black Women following me!
Taking care of your mental health is another important factor in your overall health. Fighting for good mental health is a fight worth doing, and is just as difficult, if not moreso, than physical fighting.
-FemaleWarrior, She/They
Especially with everything going on right now. We constantly hear how strong we are and it’s like no we can be tired, emotional, stressed too and we need to take care of our mental health. Here are some free therapy sessions that I’ve seen going around. Please share
Also Black minds matter UK!
I love this
i hope this helps :)
kids these days dont understand projecting your middle school anger due to being an outcast into vitriolic hate of justin bieber
ppl adding on about how justin bieber is actually a terrible person this is about drama between 11 year olds in like 2009. we didn’t know a single thing about the guy. your opinions were solely based on whether you were part of the 90% of teenagers who would cry if justin bieber jumped off a building or you were the 10% who would sit back with popcorn and yell “do a backflip”.
Help me get my disabled Mum a Mobility Scooter!
Hello, I’m Shrub and I am here to try and raise money to get a Mobility Scooter for my Mum.
Why?
My Mum has Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is a “long-term autoimmune disorder that primarily affects joints.” It is very painful for my Mum to walk longer than a couple of minutes; she was diagnosed around 30 years ago when treatment was limited, so it has had lasting damage on her joints, making it impossible to seek treatment to reduce/prevent damage. Luckily she is now on injections to help slow down the process of joint damage, but there is already significant damage there. She very much misses going for walks, or being able to get to the shop easily. She did not have much freedom for so long because she was in an abusive, controlling relationship (with my father) - and now she is starting to be more independent, and wants to seek ways to thrive. Throughout 2020 she has began to notice how much she misses being able to get out the house easily in isolated places like nature etc because of COVID quarantine. She has helped me so much and I want to do the same for her. She is such a loving, caring, strong woman, supporting me with my LGBT identity and through my mental health issues. With this scooter we will be able to go for walks together, benefitting us both!

CALL TO ACTION: Black urban farmer Jeffery Webb has been repeatedly harassed in his town, and as a result both his livelihood and life are at risk. We need to be supporting black farmers now more than ever, as key members of the community providing an essential service to it!
Since Tumblr hates links, I’ll reblog this post with the gofundme link. I’ve also attached an image of his farms Facebook page - even if you can’t donate, give them support. Let the town know there’s eyes on them, and let the Webb’s know that they are seen and supported.
We’re at $5417 out of $7500! There’s been amazing progress the past few days and I’m so grateful to everyone who has shared and/or contributed. The fundraiser is starting to lose momentum however, so let’s make up the difference now for Jeffery and his family!
Fun facts for non trans women about tucking and why you shouldn’t demand it from us
This guide is for cis people and trans men and nonbinary people who don’t need to tuck
- It will very easily cause us slight harm
- It will very easily cause us great pain
- It will very easily cause us permanent painful damage
- It will probably make us infertile
- It is extremely painful for many, for many it isn’t, but despite the pain we have to do it to be accepted
- Around 40% of us can’t do it because our inguinal canals are tiny like they’re supposed to be, like medically if we do this we will 100% be permanently harmed
- Why are you looking at our crotches
- Just cause heppie tytoos or whatever your new fave drag queen is can do it, doesnt mean every amab can, the drag queen is also probably in pain
- Fuck off, we don’t owe you anything
I haven’t done it so far, no one’s pointed it out, except Tumblr users who will “,just check in to see if I’m tuckin okay? I just wanna help you pass!”
You know what tucking (of the variant that involves shoving your balls back into your abdomen) can do?
Increase chances of an inguinal hernia.
Know what that is?
You lower intestine protrudes down into your scrotum. If they get tangled up, you could DIE.
I am not dying due to twisted entrails in my CROTCH because you can’t keep your eyes on my FACE.
I post a lot about binding and how it’s never completely 100% safe, but with all the tutorials I’ve reblogged on tucking, I’ve yet to see safety concerns like this, and while I fully support your decision if you are someone who needs to bind or tuck, I also believe you deserve to be aware of any possible health risks and make informed decisions.
cannae even put into words how much i love the 9th doctor. he really was just out there loving humanity that son of a bitch
the ninth doctor really be out here like “in nine hundred years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important before” and “i could save the world but lose you” and “you were fantastic! and you know what? so was i!” and “i’m so glad i met you” and “just this once, everybody lives!” and “you’re amazing, the lot of you” and “and if you wanna remember me there’s one thing you can do: have a good life” and i’m supposed to just watch that and not cry? how
From now on im tellin jobs I was General manager at Toys R Us. Who tf they gone call
That’s actually a wise move that many people do practice. Don’t have enough job experience, but need it to get the job? Put yourself down as having had experience in a position in a company that is no longer in business, especially if it closed years ago. They literally have no way of verifying this (do not do this for chains wherein only the store closed, but not the chain). It’s a good way to fluff up your resume, just make sure you put down a position wherein you used skills you already have.
For instance, you can say you were a Personal Assistant – typing, data entry, responding to emails, taking phone calls.
Or you were an entry level cashier/customer service worker. Retraining is simple at that point.
Need brief training on that, so that you can say you literally were trained?
All for free, just sign up with Alison. Takes 2 seconds to login with your google account, and then you can take some open courseware. Open University is another good place to go for good business acumen courses.

I’ve been using Alison and it’s really rad! super recommend it
You may have heard that Grant Imahara died earlier today. He was famously a part of Mythbusters, but also a pillar of the nerd community in LA. A brilliant electrical engineer, he loved using his massive amount of skill to bring joy to people, especially children—one of his pet projects was recreating working BB-8 and Baby Yoda animatronics and taking them to children’s hospitals to make kids smile.
Erika Ishii has suggested, if you’re able, to honor his memory with a donation to Magic Wheelchair, a nonprofit org that creates epic costumes and fx for kids in wheelchairs at no cost to their family.
Hot take but we actually do need more representation of healthy M/F relationships in media, and I personally feel like deriding intimate partner abuse as “straight culture” does a disservice to everyone.
People in M/F relationships shouldn’t only see representation painting their relationships as inherently unhealthy and bad, because it normalizes abuse and makes it easier for abusers to take advantage of others. If “that’s just how straight relationships are,” fewer people will be able to recognize the warning signs of a dangerous situation. Also, not every M/F relationship is “straight,” because queer people can absolutely be in M/F relationships, and deserve to see themselves represented, too.
On the flip side, queer people shouldn’t be led to assume their relationships will never be unhealthy and bad. The vast majority of my social circle is queer, and I have seen some truly vile things happen to my friends because they didn’t really get an education on what abuse in queer relationships can look like.
I just feel like it’s irresponsible to paint toxic relationships as “a straight people thing.”
