musings of an art kid

@magnastorm / magnastorm.tumblr.com

A personal blog. Mostly reblogs of art, funny gifs, cute animals, cosplay, cool toys, stuff by friends and my fandom of the moment with a sprinkling of original content(art and cosplay). For my plush work please follow plushiluv.tumblr.com

So Tumblr is now auto-reblogging adverts onto my dash

If you see them, tell me and I’ll delete them. I don’t condone that shit

I was wondering why the fuck you reblogged something about shampoo. yeah, same here. if you see adverts on my dash, let me know ASAP

I have adblocker and see NO ads, so if I reblog an ad, it wasn’t me, please let me know and LINK me, cuz I’ll never see it otherwise.

Same here. Please tell me if I reblog adds…

I was concerned that there was no price listed per sq ft on the source site, so I looked it up and they are CHEAP AND AFFORDABLE NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE.  The bigger homes cost around $34.74/sq.ft (one of the smallest runs ~$15k, but a 4-bed 4-bath home is ~$66.6k,  which is damn affordable when comparable homes in my area are closer to five times that price).  Color me in love.  [x]

@pessimistlass BABE. HOBBIT HOLES. OH MY GOD.

This. This is the goal. This is the dream. A 4-Bed/Bath Hobbit Hole to live in with my bae <3

The Dreggons Kickstarter is now LIVE! The Dreggons are finally here! I’ve been working on this project for two years and am so happy to finally be at this point!

If you enjoy my work, I hope you’ll consider pledging to my campaign! Every share will help get the word out about the Dreggons! Plus, I have some limited EARLY BIRD specials and exclusive Dreggon items!

It’s day 2 of the Dreggons Kickstarter and we’re 16% funded! The Dreggon had a really good first day but in order to reach our funding goal we’ll need to keep it up!

Don’t forget, Kickstarter is all or nothing so if our goal isn’t met then the Dreggons won’t go into production.

If you like to support original content creators please consider pledging to the campaign. A little bit can go a long way!

If you’re unable to pledge, that’s fine! You can still help by spreading the word through social media and letting people know about the Dreggons!

HOW TALL IS ATLAS

*whispering quietly* what the fuck

Ok so the most difficult part was figuring out how tall Atlas actually is in comparison to Voltron, since there’s whole a lot of perspective play going on during the fight with the evil robot. But here are the most size-true shots I could find:

Since the other robot is pretty much as tall as Voltron, it was good enough to use as a comparison:

If I use scene of the first pic and take a screenshot right before Atlas hits the ground, I can get a size-true sample of the evil robot standing straight in comparison to Atlas legs:

(I layered the first image over this screenshot to show that the background and all is exactly the same, so the perspective didn’t change.)

Now the fun part:

ATLAS IS 22 VOLTRONS TALL (or ~20, if you don’t count the wings)

The big ben is 96m tall. 96m x 22 = 2112m

2112 meters

dO YOU KNOW HOW TALL THAT IS

DO YOU KNOW HOW VERY TALL THAT IS

Ongoing Scare with Paypal

First, we are aware of Paypal’s policies. There is a default 20-day shipping period, but it can be overridden in the customized shipping options in the profile. We have set ours to a 30- to 90- day shipping period to cover pre-orders, production, and any incidental needs.

Second, the two points of 200+ orders / $20,000 USD gross income has been in place prior to June. This is not the amount at which Paypal will freeze a business account; this is the amount at which Paypal is obligated to report a business account to the owner’s country’s tax system, in which a business (or zine) is obligated to pay taxes based on the individual’s income. I have always set aside enough to cover taxes in my projects because whether we reach Paypal’s threshold or not, it is illegal to not report income when operating like a business / using a business account.

Third, the account this post speaks of was likely frozen for:

  • failing to modify shipping date ranges, or delivering products past said shipping date ranges;
  • pushing business transactions as personal / friends transactions, which bypasses / alters Paypal fees and is considered an illegal transaction;
  • the business failed to pay taxes on that business account in previous years.

Paypal will indeed look at an account if it passes both thresholds (200+ orders AND $20,000 USD income) to verify it is not money laundering or a scam. As long as an account has been making active purchases of products suitable to the businesses’ needs, it will not be frozen.

TL;DR: We are aware of Paypal’s policies and have followed all legal steps and precautions prior to this scare. We will continue using Paypal.

If you know of any projects receiving this scare, you are welcome to forward this post to them. If another project does not want to get tangled in the mess, they should follow these steps:

  • modify shipping date ranges in the profile
  • attach a legal bank account to the Paypal account
  • make several early purchases of shipping and / or packing supplies, so that if Paypal does raise a flag, you can prove intent to ship products even while in the pre-order / production period

Thank you, and we hope this eases all the concerns!
