What's the line of crossdressing for the sake of crossdressing and crossdressing that is transmisogynistic?

This is 100% because I'm a cishet dude so you don't have to answer, but I been learning about transmisogyism form you and other bloggers, and while I think I understand most of it, there is some things I don't fully get

there really isn't one. there's nothing about crossdressing that's inherently transmisogynistic. being a transmisogynist comes separate. there are transmisogynistic crossdressers of course, but they're not inherently so. when they exclude trans women from their communities or act like it would be such an awful thing if they were trans, then that becomes transmisogynistic.

let me be clear: if a cis dude crossdresses and affirms that he genuinely isn't trans, there's literally nothing wrong with that. more power to him. but if he continually tries to push trans women away and distance himself from us, then that's transmisogynistic, the same as it would be for any other type of person to do so.

Capcom has announced that even though MegaMan X-Dive is shutting down, they are launching an offline version. If it's successful, do you think it will incentivise other companies to do the same with their online games?

A gacha game getting ungacha-fied and released as an offline, full content version where you can get everything without gacha (except for collabs it did sadly) after it hits end of service isn't just great, it should be the goddamn standard.

This is a win for media preservation. There's no financial incentive for other gacha games to do this but god could you imagine if they did? No game should be lost forever because their servers went offline.

i do think pirating the art of independent artists who are still selling their work is shitty, actually. "oh it's a digital product there's nothing stolen" they performed labor in expectation of payment. you are now benefiting from that labor without paying. "its like sharing a physical copy" a physical copy is inherently limited in a way that files aren't and you know it.

in a world where most artists i know are struggling to make ends meet, if you can afford to spend money to enjoy their labor, if it's clearly valuable to you, but you go out of your way to circumvent payment; i do in fact think that is, in fact, a Bad Move. i do think an artist's ability to eat and pay rent is more important than your ability to see them draw Tifa Lockhart naked.

and hell, just from a selfish perspective, a person who can afford to make art full-time is probably going to produce a hell of a lot more for you to enjoy (and from most artists, most of that is free) than if they also had to get a job in, say, customer service.

but yeah. i've seen people get really aggressive about this but like. it is decency and respect for your fellow workers. you are not entitled to every piece of art. pay your artists.

(this obviously does not apply to art published by corporations where artist get pay for completing the project and the actual profits go into the hands of Business Owners)

And yeah I would Not Care in a post-scarcity world where everyone's baseline needs are met but by god art is amazing and wonderful and so many artists put out so much for free yet get so little to live off of!!!

i've noticed two similar but definitely separate schools of thought on piracy/lifting, one which says "this is okay because the victim is a capitalist corporation, something which is stealing from workers and withholding goods from the needy, and stealing back is okay", the other of which is "i want this good so i will take it" and like... when it comes to non-essentials, i strongly believe in only the former.

"a person needs art to live and is entitled to experiencing art." yes, correct. "a person needs art to live and is entitled to the specific 20 page pdf some poor apartment dweller is asking for $10 for" fuck off

Making fun of bi women married to men and het trans people makes you a loser btw and it's not going to get you any pussy or clout, it just makes you look like an asshole. Pride month PSA
