Please don't delete the blog. If you guys don't want it anymore, won't you give it to someone else?
It’s not that I don’t want to run it. It’s that we rarely get sent anything anymore and when we do, it either breaks the rules (ex. submissions purpoesly meant to make people angry) or Tumblr itself eats the ask so that we don’t see it. I personally, don’t mind checking the blog like once amonth to fill up the queue, but that’s only doable if people participate.

yeah. the blog is linked to my account, so i'll probably go through it when I'm bored. Like, I'd keep running the blog if we had better user submission. That's the only real reason we're taking it down. -Mod Shania

The plan was to just delete it, but a lot of of people have responded saying that they would like it to be up so that they can go back and reblog things. I'll have to run that by R though because I'd rather not just make the choice on my own lol. -Mod Shania

Hello everybody!
Sad as it is, Mod R and I have decided that it is time to shut down magicalgirlfanproblems. We simply haven’t been getting a large enough submission rate for the continuation of this blog to be possible. Over this entire month, we only received about 13 submissions.
So we’ll leave this blog up for a few more hours to allow the last post in the queue to publish and for y’all to reblog anything you might want on your blogs.

Dying a LOT on the inside when you see posts bashing MoonToffee just because it's a crack ship
Wanting to get back into Steven Universe, but then seeing how the fandom tends to be as well as seeing a multitude of spoilers to the point where watching it again would be less enjoyable at this point.
Bashing and threating a fan who likes what you don't like/dislikes what you like (even in the most acclaimed or panned works and franchises or sequels/seasons/remakes/aspects of said works/franchises), without any respect or thought that they (and every other fan) have different, diverse opinions. It's very common in fandom, but magical girl series is a group of one of those fandoms where it is most prevalent.
People who still claim that Sister Nana and Winter Prison's death was "homophobia" without acknowledging the fact that they were portrayed in a healthy relationship, focuses on their interactions and past. Not to mention that they're in a Hunger Games/Danganronpa esque situation when it's no surprise when someone dies. I know it sucks that they died but their death is not homophobia, they're treated like any other characters who died in this arc.

People who act so damn salty over the idea that some MG shows are still being made for kids. So just because 90% of the genre is dominated by PMMM knockoffs aimed at male demographics now, nobody can want or have shows like Precure or Sailor Moon that (heaven forbid) aren't built on a "13 episodes of edgy" formula? Sounds to me like you all just want any show that doesn't suit your personal tastes to discontinue.
Amount of ship hate going on. So what if someone is shipping a really controversial ship? LET THEM. I seriously understand your point but are shippers actively pushing your NOTP into your face? If not seriously leave people alone, ignore and move on and do your own stuff with your friends. If everyone was like this, fandom experience won't be so terrible.
People who seem to try and live through Naoko Takeuchi to explain why Crystal is the best version of Sailor Moon and why the 90s anime is an abomination without knowing how she really feels about the new anime or bother to look at the positive things she said about the 90s (plus ignoring the fact she is embarassed of her manga) It's one thing to want the series to be like the manga, it's another to try and speak for the author (saying things like "it's Naoko's vision) to gain approval.
People who compare characters like Madoka and Snow White negatively to more traditional Magical Girls and say the former are weak or crybabies. They're in a totally different situation to characters like Pretty Cure or Sakura Kinomoto. They're going to react differently. Put the Precures or Card Captor teams in a life or death situation, and they'd probably break down too!
Wishing that Devil Hunter Yohko had gone the more serious route instead of fizzling out after a change of direction…she deserves a reboot.
People who generalizes the suffering of darker shows are nothing but being girls being brutally slaughtered and other graphic stuff. Yeah I know there are shows out there that does that. But please stop generalizing, not all dark shows does that.
