Crochet is all over fashion again this spring. Reminder that crochet cannot be done by machine, so someone had to make it by hand. There is literally no fast fashion brand that is paying a fair wage to the artisans who are doing that work, even taking local wages in other countries into account. And you can tell that by the pricing. I crochet faster than most people I know, and a jacket always takes me at least 20 hours. And dresses take 30-50. The smaller the yarn, the more hours it’ll take to make something.
There are tons of crocheters on Etsy setting their own prices. Check there before you shop Target or Express or any other place selling on a rack.
I just DO NOT want to stare at screens today and yet there is no escaping it.

I have absolutely no idea what day of the week it is, and I'm so tired
#misc: about me#i was off work last Friday#then i worked Saturday through Wednesday#swapped my usually Wednesday night shift for Tuesday night instead#went into work for an hour this morning before taking the rest of the day off (which was planned)#and then I'm back at work tomorrow for a normal Friday before a normal weekend#i spent so much of Tuesday thinking it was Wednesday#and then yesterday felt like Tuesday?#and i woke up like 20 minutes before my alarm this morning and couldn't get back to sleep#so i had breakfast and then second breakfast like an hour later#when i went in for my one hour this morning a coworker asked me if i was feeling better#because i was so mentally checked out by 5 yesterday it was apparently super obvious
can i have this job i'm five years old my favorite colour is yellow and i just learned what an amoeba is.
