Man the entirety of the sonic movies is really just Jimbotnik being framed as the big bad but if you pay attention to the phrasing on things he says it’s just really sad?? In the narrative context, everything is against him despite the implications that the main reason he’s this way is because he’s never been given a chance, and throughout the films he STILL isn’t give a chance, and it really just makes me sad. 😭
At the end of the first film, when he says that sonic is just a silly little alien that didn’t belong there, it’s almost a direct parallel to himself, except it’s simply agreed upon that he doesn’t belong there, and Tom retorts saying that Sonic knows more about being human than he ever would. Don’t you think that just feeds into everything that made him this way? He parallels sonics struggles but the difference is he never gets the support and it festers like a repeatedly open wound
