💋Siren’s Kiss Spell💋

✨ To cast this spell you will need ✨

- A lip product of your choosing, it can be a lipstick, lip tint, lip gloss, chapstick, lip balm, or lip scrub. Basically whatever you want!

- Your own will and power

✨ Instructions ✨

As you are applying your lip product of choice say the incantation while imagining yourself as a sweet talking baddass! Then you’re done. You can repeat the incantation as much as you feel necessary and the glamour is cast!

✨ Incantation ✨

“Lips soft and sweet

With a flair all words I speak,

Ensnare all who hear them”

Aphrodite Glamour Water 💋

This glamour spell is one of the few that I use, and I can say that it’s worked for me quite well. Be careful, though. You may attract unwanted attention.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • a jar
  • water
  • rose petals (optional)
  • vanilla essential oil (optional)
  • red or pink candle (optional)

STEPS:

💋 Pour the water inside the jar you wish to use.

💋 Put in your ingredients that you chose to use. As you put them in, visualize how you want people to look at you. If you want to be confident, visualize yourself being confident. If you want romantic or sexual attention, visualize yourself getting that. Whatever you want, just visualize yourself attracting it.

At this point, if you wish to use a candle, now is the time to pour your intentions into it & light it. If not, that’s fine. You can also call upon deities who correspond to love at this moment.

💋Stir the liquid clockwise so that it’s moving towards you. As you do so, continue to visualize your desired outcome.

💋 After that, it’s all done. You can leave it out by the window and allow the moon the charge it up. If you chose to light a candle, let it burn down.

WAYS TO USE IT:

♡ Dab some on your face before you leave the house in the morning. ♡ Put some on your face before you put any makeup or skin products on. ♡ You can use it in love spells by replacing the water with an oil of your choosing and anointing a pink or red candle with it, preforming the spell the same way. ♡ If you wear makeup, pour a little bit in a little cap of some sort and dab your makeup brushes in it to dampen the brush before you apply any eyeshadow or powder of any kind. ♡ If you want a specific person’s attention, you can dab some on a picture of them or drop a little bit where you know they will walk. ♡ Use it as an offering for deities corresponding to love, depending on your intention.

Discernment Pro Tips

from someone who has been doing it for a hot minute.

With divination in general, whether from yourself or others:

  • If everything you keep using to discern with keeps pointing to no, it’s probably a no.
  • Conversely, if everything keeps pointing to a yes, it’s probably a yes.
  • 99 no’s and one yes doesn’t make a yes.
  • If your answers keep coming back hazy or wishy-washy, there is probably a reason and you should figure that reason out before moving forward.
  • There is nothing wrong with giving a spread to a more experienced diviner and asking for their input on the meaning of the cards.
  • When you ask someone else for input, actually listen to them.
  • Remember that being wrong is not a sin or inherently bad. We’re all wrong sometimes.

Within divination you do yourself:

  • Be aware of confirmation bias. We all have it, and its hard to cut through. Cut through it as best as you can.
  • To counteract the fact that memories can shift and change, it’s better to write down what you think happened before you start to delve into divination or discernment. That way, you won’t inadvertently influence memories or shift things.
  • Use multiple formats of discernment or divination if possible.
  • When in doubt, give it more time. Time is one of the easiest ways to prove if something is legit or not.

With outside divination:

  • If you’re going to get a divination done from an outside source, someone with a proven track record is best.
  • Similarly, getting multiple readings from ppl with proven records is best.
  • You can get a reading from someone without a proven record, but make sure you don’t place all of your weight into that reading.
  • Don’t place all of your weight into any reading. That saying about eggs and baskets is relevant.
  • Blind readings are always a better bet.
  • Key word: blind. This includes how you phrase your query.
  • “I need to know why my god suddenly hates me” is not a good “blind” query. “I would like to know more about the status of my relationship with my god” or “I would like more insight as to the recent shift in my relationship with my god” is better.
  • Keep in mind that if you’ve placed all of your recent “woo” in a public source, someone can use that to infer information about your situation.
  • If your diviner needs to ask a lot of probing questions before they give you answers, walk away.
  • If your diviner gives you answers, and you tell them that it’s not accurate, which causes them to start bringing out “new information” that diverges from previous answers and wasn’t present before the extra details, walk away.
  • Be careful what information you give after the fact as well. It’s very easy to infer a lot of things simply based off of basic statements. The less information you give, the easier it will be to write the reading off as being accurate and unbiased.

this has been a thing.

  47. alternatively, get flower seeds and plant them around your home. this will also give you a reason to step outside to tend to them from time to time.
  48. learn a new song or hymn and perform it as an offering to your deity of choice
  49. make a list of this year’s dates of full and new moons, transits, and holidays and mark them in your calendar or put them in the notes of your phone

Centering, Grounding, and Shielding

- From my Grimoire

A Preface

Something that I don’t think enough people cover when it comes to The Craft, is how to keep yourself protected when doing spells and rituals, or communicating with spirits. This is a very basic aspect of witchcraft, so I’d like to take a moment to go in depth on the topic to make sure that as many people as possible, can find something that will work for them! Of course though, there will be some methods that I either don’t have experience with or may have simply forgot to mention. Find what works best for you and your practice, and look at some other articles or books as well!

Centering

First off, what is centering? This is basically you preparing yourself and getting in the mindset of doing a spell/ritual. This is taking a moment to yourself to make sure you’re intentions are in the right place, and everything is set up and ready to go. Centering isn’t too difficult to do, so there’s honestly not too much to say on the topic.

Method I like to begin centering with meditation. Relax yourself and get into the “witch headspace”, if you will. Cleanse yourself, and maybe even take a shower or a bath. Next thing is to gather your thoughts, write some questions down on a piece of paper or on your computer and answer them. Things like “What is my motivation?” “What outcome do I want” “How do I want to do this?” If you really take a moment to understand what you’re doing and where your heart lies, your spell will be at it’s most effective.

Grounding

Grounding is an important thing to do after any spell you perform. While it doesn’t necessarily hurt to do before a spell, it can limit your meta-physical performance. Grounding is connecting you back to the earth and bringing you back to your physical body, getting your head out of the clouds if you will, and sometimes when performing a spell that’s where you want your head to be. If you’re working with any earth based magick though, this can greatly help, so just figure out what works best for the kind of spell you’re doing.

Methods

  • Roots - This is my covens favorite method to ground. This is basically where you have a meditative moment, plant your feet on the ground, and “sink your roots in”. First thing you wanna do is get in some kind of contact with the ground or floor, just anything that is a solid foundation. Plant your hands or feet flat and start by breathing deeply. You wanna really take in the energy from the earth, pay attention to all of your surroundings and take in the moment. Next close your eyes and start focusing your energy at your hands or feet. (You may feel your hands start to tingle or even go mildly numb) Lastly, release that energy and push it into the earth. Let it soak in deep, and if visualization helps, imagine your roots growing down.
  • Going outside is another very good method to reconnect with the Earth. If at all possible, I like to go outside barefoot and feel the grass on my feet. Really connect to the earth, take in your surroundings and walk around as much as you feel comfortable.
  • A Dump Stone - Just about any stone will work, but generally stone that come from bodies of water, have holes, or are green or black tend to work the best. Basically just hold the stone in your hand and let any and all negative energy flow out from you into the stone. Stones can handle quite a bit of negative energy so don’t be afraid to let it all come out. After you’re done though, you’re immediately going to want to cleanse your crystal with whichever method works best for you. I prefer to let mine sit in salt overnight, or until the feel done.
  • Drinking a cold glass of water, splashing cold water on your face, or even taking a really quick cold shower is also a really good way to ground yourself. It’s all about being present in your body, and nothing can bring you back into the now like some cold water can.

Shielding and Wards

Shielding yourself is important when it comes to any kind of magick, because there truly are negative entities and energies out there that like to take advantage of people. It’s a sad truth, but this is why we learn to protect ourselves spiritually. Putting up a shield or ward isn’t difficult, and sometimes you do it without even realizing!

Shielding Methods

  • Visualization - This is my favorite method to teach beginners because it doesn’t require any tools just you, and yourself. The begin, start by getting into a calm relaxed state, maybe even meditate before hand. Next, imagine a ring of light around yourself starting at your feet. This light can look like anything, be any color, and be any shape so the only limit is your imagination. Once you have the ring of light, imagine it slowly coming up around your body, let it fill your heart with warmth and let it remind you that you are safe spiritually and no negative entity can harm you. Once it has made a complete bubble around yourself, say some affirmations and remind yourself that you’re strong and can handle anything. The more you believe in yourself, then the stronger this shield will become.
  • Smoky Quartz or any other black stone, when kept on the person or placed at the feet can create a ward as well. For those less imaginative, this is a very good alternative because you have the crystal to support you as well.
  • Magick Circle - There are many ways to open a magick circle, but heres a really simple method. Hold one of your hands out, palm up and focus your energy in your hand. (You may get that warm, tingly, or numb feeling, if not though thats okay!) Really let it bubble up into your fingertips, and once there, point a finger out and draw a circle around yourself and say some simple affirmations of safety and peace. Just like the visualization method, this works best the more you have faith and believe in yourself.
  • Simply stating that you are, or feel safe is another way to shield yourself spiritually. You remember how when you were little and alone in your room at night and you thought you heard something scary? You covered your head up with a blanket right? Do you remember how safe you felt after doing that, like how nothing could get you? That was quite literally you putting up a shield. Remember your intentions and feelings are the most important thing in magick, always keep that in mind!

Warding Methods Wards are another variation of shields, but these are things you put on the physical plane rather than a spiritual one.

  • Runes/Sigils - A really good way to set up a ward is to carve or draw some runes either into the side of a doorframe, a candle, or even on a piece of paper to burn later! If you’re going to carve them into wood or draw them, charge the tool you’re going to be doing it with. If your going to use a candle, burn the candle whenever you feel like you need it most! And as for burning paper, keep the ashed around and maybe even sprinkle them into every corner of the room.
  • Salt - Put lines of salt on the top of your door and window frames, and sprinkle some in every corner of the room.
  • Stones - Certain stones are said to be warning stones and will break if danger is near by. Malachite is one of these stones, and is fairly easy to get your hands on. Place this stone above door and window frames as well.
  • Holy/Blessed Water - A drop placed in every corner of the room creates a barrier around the room.
  • Brooms/Staffs - Place in the corners of rooms, and said to fall over if danger is near by.
  • Black Candles - Burning a black candle is said to bring protection and keep a room hidden from spirits.

🛡 Warding 🛡

Disclaimer: This is all based on my research, path, opinion & experiences! Intro: I really was holding out on doing this post because it’s such a big, important topic to cover and I really don’t want to mess it up or get anything wrong. This post needs to be done though, people have asked if I have such a post and an anon suggested it. So finally, here it is.  - What Is Warding? Warding is a type of magick, it is the act of creating an energetic barrier around you, your home, an object, ect. They can be temporary or permanent, although typically they are cast with the long term in mind. They can banish or turn away whatever you choose. Warding is an excellent skill to have because it can keep you, and even others safe and with practice you can do it anytime with just about whatever you have on hand.  When Should I Ward? Whenever you want an energetic barrier around you, most people consistently ward their home, themselves or their place of practice. Some people even ward their space every time they prepare for a spell. It should be done consistently in any area you want protected, but exactly where and how often is entirely up to the practitioner.  What Should I Do Before? Cleanse, a ward is a barrier of energy and in the same way that it keeps things out it also keeps things in. You don’t want to trap anything inside of it. Cleanse yourself before you ward yourself. Cleanse your space before you ward your space!  Tips Before You Ward- Phrasing Keep the phrasing in mind! You don’t want to keep anything out that you want in, or let something in that you want out. If you’re chanting or using sigils ect keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out both in your methods and in your mind. Covering everything Make sure to cover everything, a ward is useless if there’s a weakness in it or if the ceiling & floor aren’t probably covered. Be super thorough!  Layering Your Wards One small little wimpy barrier? Ha, the spirits say as they scramble into your home to wreak havoc! You need to layer your wards, don’t just use one method one time, there’s no such thing as too much warding.  What Are Some Ways That I Can Ward? Now we’ll get right down to the methods you can use to ward yourself and your space! Remember that warding is important and needs to be effective, don’t try anything that you don’t have experience with for warding. At first, focus on the stuff you know. If you like sigils, use sigils at first and slowly work your way into using other more complex methods or methods that solely rely on your abilities. Circle Casting You cast a circle by summoning the four elements to protect & energize what is in the circle.  - Here’s my post about circles & how to cast them  Chanting/Speaking Come up with a protective chant you can use to ward your space. This chant could be someone else’s or your own as long as you feel it’s effective. Speak it aloud and visualize a layer of energy protecting your space.  Incense Burn a protective incense in the space you’d like to ward and visualize a barrier protecting your space. Athame Draw out the line of your ward with your athame, visualize the wall appearing, covering everything with a thick layer of energy.  Spraying Spray a mix of blessed/magickal waters and or herbs with protective properties in the space you want to ward.  Sigils Create a sigil using your favorite method with the intent to “ward” or “protect/protection.” Then charge and activate it as a layer of protection! Here’s my post on sigils if you’re interested in that: - Sigil Post Jar Spells You could mix up a jar spell for warding, set it in your house and forget it as a layer of warding.  - My protective jar spell post Anointment Anoint the doorways of your space, you could also anoint the ceiling, floor, walls, corners, honestly go for it.  Salt Sprinkle salt all around the edge of your home or space. Make sure to sprinkle salt on the INSIDE of your harm as salt can harm plants & wildlife if used outside. If you’d like to make a barrier on the outside of your home, you can use dried & crushed eggshells in place of salt. - Post on how to make eggshell powder here -  Hag stones Hag stones are stones with holes in them that have been corroded into the stone because of rushing water. It is believed rushing water is protective & cleansing so if you wear a stone that sat in it long enough to have parts corroded away, that the stone will maintain and keep those properties with it. It’s a great way to personally ward yourself, and an excuse to go out in nature.  They look like this!

Energy Manipulation If you’ve got a knack for manipulating energy, you can create a barrier through work and visualization that surrounds yourself or your space. This isn’t recommended for beginners though! Links: - Horse Warding Charm By @anothersusurrus - House Warding Spritz Mixture By @seleneblackwell Both of these are great if you’re looking for specific spells, types of magick, correspondences, sigils, ect! - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 1 By @auricwitch - Protection Magic Masterpost Part 2 By @auricwitch Personal Wards Also remember not just to ward your space but yourself, if you layer your home with wards, what happens when you leave? Exactly. Keep yourself safe too! Circle casting & hag stones are great methods I mentioned above that are good for personal warding.  Can I Ward Specific Things And Not Others? Absolutely! I mentioned this in the phrasing section of this post, keep in mind exactly what you want to keep out when you’re warding. I like words like “negative” or “harmful” or “with ill intent” because they don’t necessarily keep out the Fae or positive/neutral spirits but it does keep out anything that wants to harm you in general. Just think about it ahead of time, find wording or a phrase you like and keep that in mind as you ward.  What If I Live With People? If you’re out of the broom closet, explain to your family/roommates what you’re doing and why you’re doing it and make sure they’re cool with it and are aware of what’s going on. If you’re not out of the broom closet, you may have to resort to only warding yourself/your room, & that’s okay!  I hope this helps someone or teaches them something new! Enjoy! Have a lovely day 💖

🌌 A Ritual to Thoroughly Cleanse Your Living Space

Note: This ritual is a bit more extensive than what I usually post. That being said, I just cleansed my apartment with this ritual the other day, and I haven't felt this good in months. So, hopefully it will help someone else out, too! Or at least give you guys a fun read if nothing else.

This ritual takes advantage of a couple different types of magic, such as smoke magic and sound magic, as well as heavy visualization, so I'll be explaining some of the details as we go!

You will need:

  • A small bell (cheap substitute discussed below)
  • An incense (non-smoke substitute discussed below)
  • At least one window you can open

• • •

STEP ONE: Wake the spirits in the walls

Obtain a bell. If you don't have a bell, you can also use a bowl or glass. Strike the bowl/glass with a knife to create a ringing sound for this step.

Begin in the eastern wall/corner of your house, and begin ringing the bell. State confidently:

"May the ringing of this bell wake the spirits within the walls of my home."

Continue chanting that intention and ringing your bell, and walk through each room of your house/apartment/living space. The goal here is to expose ("wake up") all of the dormant energies that have found their way into your space.

• • •

STEP TWO: Pull out the negative energies with smoke

Return to the spot in your house where you began. Put down the bell, and now pick up some incense. Light the incense, and call to the spirits within the smoke. Ask them confidently:

"Spirits of Air, Spirits of Smoke,

May your tendrils reach into every corner and crevice of my home. Seek out each and every energy which disrupts my peace. Wrap the tendrils of your smoke around them, and pull them from their hiding places.

Find them in the walls, and pull them out.

Find them in the floors, and pull them out.

Find them in the corners, and pull them out.

Find them in the ceiling, and pull them out."

Repeat this chant as you again walk through each room of your house. Try to get the smoke to touch every corner in every room, including closet spaces.

Note: If you can't burn incense in your living space, you can also complete this step using a spray bottle and some water.

Instead of asking the spirits of air to seek out the negative energies in your home and expose them, ask the spirits of water to do it instead. Modify the chant that I have provided to accommodate for the water spirits, and use the spray bottle to spritz water onto the floors, walls, ceiling, and corners in each room.

• • •

STEP THREE: Expel the negative energies

Now that you've exposed the negative energies within your living space using the bell and the smoke/water, it's time to expel them from your home.

This particular step is very heavy in visualization and energy work, so you may want to center or ground yourself before you undertake this task.

Return once more to the spot where you began. Hold your hands together in front of you with your palms touching, such as in a prayer position. Build up as much energy as possible within your hands. It helps some people to rub your hands together vigorously to generate friction during this process.

If visualization helps you, imagine the energy within your body flowing down your arms and into your palms. Collect this energy into a ball of light that you hold between your hands. If it helps you to associate colors with energy, visualize the ball of light between your palms as either gold, silver, or white.

State confidently:

"I expel the energies within my home which disrupt my peace.

I expel you.

I expel you.

I expel you."

When you finish the chant, clap your hands together as hard as you can. Visualize the energy you've stored in your hands being released as a shockwave. Imagine the shockwave of energy spreading throughout the room and driving away all negative energies.

Repeat this process in each room of your house. Build up as much energy as possible in your hands, state the chant confidently, and clap your hands to release the energy and drive out the negative energies within the room.

• • •

STEP FOUR: Ventilate your home

Open as many windows in your home as possible. Then, go to the front door of your home and open it. While standing in the doorway, invite the spirits of the wind into your home. Ask them to carry away anything disruptive which may be lingering inside. Once you've called them in, you may then shut your front door if you wish.

Allow the windows to remain open until all of the incense smoke within your home has been blown outside.

Note: If you substituted water for smoke in the spell, you may have to ventilate your home for a bit longer. Try to keep the windows open until all the water you've sprayed has evaporated.

• • •

Like I said, this one is a bit more extensive and very eclectic in design. I've used it almost every time I've moved into a new place, though, and it's never failed me once. I hope you guys enjoyed!

Brightest blessings, and best of luck 🕉

I want you to understand what you are really saying when you say that you can't practice Hellenic Polytheism without certain clothing, without wine libations done a certain way, or without khernips; when you say that people who don’t know as much as you know deserve to be silenced, shamed, and scolded.

What you are saying is that homeless people can’t call out to the Theoi for help because they don’t have the right space, ritual gear, or opportunities.

You’re saying that a broke single mom who can’t afford to buy wine isn’t welcome because she can’t afford the “correct” libation.

You’re saying that teenagers living in their Christian parents’ house can’t practice this religion.

You’re saying that the Theoi don’t want people who didn’t have the same educational opportunities that you did.

You’re saying that the Theoi have no space in their hearts for people who are struggling, afraid, or poor.

Don’t say that to me and then tell me that you imagine Hellenismos growing.

If you actively work to exclude people from your religion, don’t complain to me about how hard it is to find others to worship with.

Things I didn't know starting out spiritwork that I wish I did:
  • Have a dedicated shawl, scarf, or headcover.

This allows you to block out light and easier activate your inner sight and induces trance quicker. Especially if you have a hard time focusing.

Can also act as a form of protection from new or nasty spirits. It's a bonus as it can disguise your energy from negative spirits if you enchant it so. (Mine was a gift from a client who is now dead, I call upon her memory, and my ancestors to aid me in my work.)

  • Smoke it up if you can!

Using herbal bundles, not only white sage, can help with protection your aura, opening your senses up, getting into trance, and support your energetic work. Some can be wonderful for banishing nasty spirits too!

If you can't light incense or herbal bundles, perfumes and cleansing herbal sprays can work similarly. Just be careful with essential oils please! They are the volatile organic chemical compounds that the plant creates to protect itself, they are not all safe to use externally or internally or sometimes at all. And can have very REAL effects on your body. Anything from chemical burns to literal miscarriage! Please fucking be safe with essential oils, don't be a fucking idiot!

  • Trust your guides, guardian spirits, angels, higher self, etc.

If they are asking or telling you to do something it's almost always for your benefit. Learn from my mistakes and work with them, not against them. You'll get farther, quicker, when you cooperate with the Spirit World.

  • Realize it's not all happening to you

Things might get rough, Spirit work can bring up a lot of self work and shadow work that needs to be released. Once you allow things to open, things happen. Remember that things are happening through you, not to you. Once you claim and step into your power, nothing can shake you. Things might try to knock you down, but you always come back stronger. The experience is just as important as the outcome.

  • You will never know everything

In all honesty, you know almost nothing. You won't know or encounter everything else everyone else has, so be discerning but open and understanding. You will never know everything so deal with it.

If someone's experience doesn't line up with your beliefs or what you think is happening to them, do not discount them or what they are going through. We all experience things differently anyway.

  • A little goes a long way

Don't over do things. If you are feeling drained and tired honor that and take a break. Rest for a while. You can not and should not expect to be able to channel or heal or etc, forever nonstop without break or back to back to back. Allow yourself your limits.

I'm sure there are many more things but this is a good start to things I wish someone had told me starting out and things I've learned along the way so far.

well, i guess i'm back on here! things have grown a bit since i was last active. huh.

i am reopening my free pendulum asks while i'm here too!! card asks, however, will remain closed. thank you!

Things to do for Yule

Hello witches! Here are some activities to do for Yule!

1. Enchant hot chocolate.

I always love a good cup of hot chocolate on a cold day, so why not make that a bit more magical? I always add peppermint to mine to wake myself up. You can make your hot chocolate homemade and put your own flavors into it. You can also try and make sigils with the foam!

2. Decorate your altar or sacred space.

You can decorate altar with a tiny tree or even have one in your room! You can also hang up things that remind you of Yule. If you work with any deities, you could decorate their space with what they like.

3. Make witchy presents for people.

Gifts could be as complex as a witch bottle or as simple as enchanting some jewelry. The sky is the limit!

4. Make self-love spells.

Sometimes the holidays can be a bit rough so doing self-love spells can really help! I made a witch bottle of self-love for a friend of mine. You can make sigils or even full rituals for self-love.

5. Enchant greeting cards.

If you send greeting cards to your relatives or friends, you can place sigils on them for good luck. You can place some money in for prosperity. You can simply cleanse the card and place your intention on it.

This is a bit of a shorter post but I hope this gave you some ideas for Yule! Happy holidays!
