This is a map of the range of all giraffe species. By my count that puts them in just 16 countries out of the 54 in Africa (of which 5 are island countries with no territory on the continental mainland). That's 30%, quite a long way shy of all, and as you can see many of those countries that do have giraffes only have a tiny portion of their territory within giraffes' habitats
Wow, I knew they weren't in "every African country", but I didn't realize just how restricted their range was

I like to think that Arbok's hood patterns are influenced by their environment. When they evolve, they can take on the markings of their parent, or maybe they take after the trainer who raised them (who may or may not have an intimidating look to them)

The Dance of a Thousand Hands.
This is so surreal for something that includes zero special effects of any kind

If this is the group I think it is (you can find them by searching Dance of a Thousand Hands on YouTube), the dancers are all hard of hearing and the orchestra is visually impared. The dancers can feel the music through vibrations in their feet and hearing and feeling each other’s breathing. They are the China Disabled Peoples Performing Arts Troupe and have traveled to 100 countries and counting. They aim to prove that anyone can dance, and anyone can play.

Craziest thing my supervisor ever told me is that the kind of enthusiasm I have for mealworms is not as common as I think it is. I kinda just figured everyone at the Bug Farming DepartmentTM was here for the bugs, but apparently a lot of people are just here for the farming. Getting excited about bugs for bugs' sake is apparently a rare thing in the agricultural departement - most people are more interested in how to use bugs, or even Number Go Up, which I've never been that interested in. No wonder my supervisor keeps agreeing to my insane projects, pushing me to publish my half-finished theses, and talking over time in our meetings. It must be like a breath of fresh air for her.
