There's a lot more that can be found with the link below, but remember, these are images created by astronomer photographers, not Hubble or JWST !! Which makes them all the more amazing and impressive.

TMNT Bayverse age theory
I’ve been thinking about this ever since the first film came out. The subject of age has always been a big discussion in the TMNT fandom, and I would like to share my two cents on it too - with regards to the so-called “Bayverse Boys”. As I said when I first saw their designs and characters in the films, “they cannot be 15” or at the very least young teenagers, as they are presented to be in past interpretations. I’ve never seen a young teen boy look that stacked with muscle. Ever. (Unless they’re madly on steroids…) Yes. They are mutants. Yes. They’re genetically enhanced, but anyway, that’s not my main argument on this. My main point is; Tattoos.
They have tattoos in this universe unlike any other interpretations (with the exception of “mystic abilities/power markings”). But I hear you cry “they’re mutants! They couldn’t possibly go out to the surface to get tattooed by humans so therefore it wouldn’t matter as they’re turtles!” You can’t tell me, ninjas who protect and abide by human laws and dress in human clothes, would not follow the age laws regarding tattoos. They have morals and they have been raised to have respect for rules. Legal tattoo age for most of the world - including the US - is 18 years old. Even if the theory is that Donnie was the one who tattooed his brothers (which I firmly believe as he does not have any of his own plus he has the equipment and skill to do so), they’d still wait to be the right legal age. This also leads me to the point of Raph’s shoulder scarification. In the first film it is quite prominent, raised as if it is still healing. By the second film - story timeline, a year later - it is not as noticeable in fact barely visible at all, flat against his arm - healed.
In conclusion - my theory is that the Bayverse turtles are at least 18 in the first film, which is still technically a teenager and still easily qualifies as being called a “child” or “children” (as they’re called in the films multiple times). Zandii out~

A girl stands alone in a field. The weight of the world is placed on her shoulders.
A farmer walks past. “please. help.” The girl says.
The farmer responds. “can’t you see I’m hauling this load of hay? How selfish must you be, asking me to set aside my own burden to help you”.
The farmer leaves.
A girl stands alone in a field. The weight of the world is placed on her shoulders.
A noblewoman walks past. “please. help.” The girl says.
The noblewoman responds. “Help you? You seem to be managing well on your own. How lazy must you be, asking for me to help a burden you can very well carry”.
The noblewoman leaves.
A girl stands alone in a field. The weight of the world is placed on her shoulders.
A knight walks past. “please. help.” The girl says.
The knight responds. “Whoever would I help you? Every man is given a burden to carry. How weak must you be, asking your burden be relieved”.
The knight leaves.
A girl stands alone in a field. Tears flow down her face. Her back is breaking. Her arms are so weak. She hasn’t felt her legs in days. The weight of the world is still on her shoulders. She lets it go. She is crushed.
News of the girl’s death reaches the capital.
“What a shame” said the farmer. “if only I could have helped”.
“What a shame” said the noblewoman. “if only I could have helped”.
“What a shame” said the knight. “if only I could have helped”.
A great memorial is erected in the capital, honoring the girl who gave so much.
“So selfless” said the farmer.
“So driven” said the noblewoman.
“So strong” said the knight.
“If I had met the girl” says the farmer, “I would’ve taken the weight from her. It would be easy for me to stow it in my cart”.
“If I had met the girl” says the noblewoman, “I would’ve taken the weight from her. I carry so little, it’s the least I could do”.
“If I had met the girl” says the knight, “I would’ve taken the weight from her. I am strong and noble, I could surely carry such a burden more readily than she”.
The girl is still dead.
