Collisions by sfumatosoup is a masterpiece, the first part convergence is set alongside canon and then the second part impact is a lovely post canon slow burn. I read impact first so i think if you want to just go for that one, it’s great.

my current mood is thinking about Julian having a complete mental, emotional, and physical collapse like... three years after the end of the Dominion War and just living it up as Garak's house guest turned house husband in his pajamas after three years of C-PTSD slow boil. occasionally people try to get Garak to bring Julian on board a committee or project or perform a particularly risky surgery and he threatens to bring the Obsidian Order archive back online and sell their father's secrets to the press. occasionally they have to dispose of a Section 31 agent in their backyard.
the first time they have sex in this is 100% a "I just want to feel good, I just want to feel good again, just for a little while" / "let me make you feel good, I know I can make you feel good" situation
