Leo x Aquarius
This is a couple of Sister Signs: they are polar opposites on a shared scale. They are both fixed signs, and as such they want to be the stalwart champions of their ideals. In Leo and Aquarius’ case, the ideal is the same, and it’s like a longing to be some kind of pioneer of salvation, the desire to bring humanity some kind of redemption: while Aquarius’ light has a faceless, universal and somewhat mental feeling, Leos want their own spirit to be the threshold for human kind to step through in order to advance. When they look at the sky, Leo sees the stars and feels their fire, Aquarius sees the void and imagines a cosmic wind. Leo makes art of himself because he wants his ideas to materialize within him, he wants his face to be forever remembered and associated with his thoughts; Aquarius makes art of himself because he wants his ideas to climb out of his insides, he wants to transcend his physical form as it is to him nothing more than a case for his thoughts.
As friends, they would be constantly stealing one another the limelight: Leo loves receiving attention, while Aquarius just happens to receive it. Leos usually collect the admiration of people because they’re lively and they keep themselves fashionable and up to date with all the popular trends; Aquarius are weirdly charismatic instead, they want to be radical and countercultural, think with their head and express unconformity, so they would only do and wear the unthinkable, and follow the dead-from-twenty-years fashion styles. They could end up reviving forgotten trends, so between Leo and Aquarius it would go somewhat like this: Leo invents a style, it dies out, Aquarius picks it up, it is born again, and Leo is gonna have to keep up with his own creations. They would chase each other’s tail. Only a Leo with very shy Moon and Venus signs would be happy to give up the thought lead, but it also would take any Leo a lot of immaturity and a pretty nasty natal chart to become really envious and overbearing about what they feel it’s their territory. On the majority of cases there should be a good competition between Leo and Aquarius, some sort of kind rivalry. They would be really curious to communicate with one another – well, maybe Leo would be more baffled than anything by the strange Aquarius: being both fixed signs, they really tend to be strongly opinionated, so they would first have to agree on what they feel it’s most important to them, or they might clash very hard. If they agree on a common basis, they are really going to enjoy the exchange of points of view. They will constantly feel fresh, comforting and insightful to one another.
As lovers, this is the focal point about Sister Signs: anything could happen. They could have the best, strictly platonic relationship in the world; they could be completely indifferent and uncomprehending about each other; they could become each other’s worst enemy, and constantly declare they wouldn’t touch the rival with a 20-foot pole; they could find what they have been searching for all their lives right inside one another, absorb it to complete themselves and then live happily ever after. Here more than everywhere else, the rest of the natal chart, along with their personal experiences and way of thinking, will set the tone and make the real difference. For the couple of heroes of the zodiac, a platonic relationship would be the likely result of two timid natal charts. If they tune themselves on common things, they could totally be eternal partners in beautiful enterprises. If they’re less inhibited, it’s probable that the enthusiasm they get from working together could easily become reciprocal attraction; Venus and Mars signs decide who’s going to be the first to jump on who, and how much time would it take to happen. Moon signs are more likely to influence, instead, where are they going with that. On a basic level, Leo’s the impetuous one, while Aquarius is cerebral; their main problem would very well become soon the fact that Leos need a lot of flatter and attention, along with a leading position, but Aquarius is stubborn enough not to let others make decisions for him, and is very, very detached, with a tendency to get lost inside his mind and forget to eat – and to show affection, also. This is their challenge: Leo needs to climb down his throne, Aquarius needs to climb down his head. To make a serious commitment work, they would have to teach one another their reciprocal way of thinking – a cosmic, existential enterprise for these two, since they are polar opposites. If they succeed, they will learn so much from each other that their enrichment is going to make them metaphorically glow in the dark: they would have achieved a higher goal about themselves. If they fail to mediate, their relationship is going to implode and it’s going to have a harmful effect on their growth: if they let the experience scar them, they run the risk of becoming scared and intolerant towards who’s different from them. If finally they have strong disagreements about each other’s ideologies right from the start, even in the case they find one another completely irresistible, they would never indulge in the passion, because they would have other points too much more important to make.
As enemies, they look more like each other than they’d like to admit. When two thought leaders as they are battle, everything gets pulled in, either as a weapon or as a casualty. Their choice of strategy to destroy one another is going to be a mediation of Sun, Moon and Mars signs’ elements; about the basic situation, fire signs tend to be more physical, while air signs act through words and thoughts. Leo and Aquarius like to consider themselves as righteousness bringers, so unless they don’t reach their lowest point in life and epically lose their shit about each other, they are very likely going to keep their rivalry away from miserable behaviors, on dignified tones worth of a morality tale. If they’re clashing, it means that they don’t get each other; unless they’re directly disturbing each other’s life, they would leave themselves alone.

I was always hungry for love. Just once, I wanted to know what it was like to get my fill of it — to be fed so much love I couldn’t take any more. Just once. Haruki Murakami
You are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot - it’s all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive. Maya Angelou

“You have to accept that sometimes that’s how things happen in this world. People’s opinions, their feelings, they go one way, then the other. It just so happens you grew up at a certain point in this process.”
You have to accept that sometimes that’s how things happen in this world. People’s opinions, their feelings, they go one way, then the other. It just so happens you grew up at a certain point in this process.
Ernest Hemingway
The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone too much…

We don’t know the power that we have
Dunga

When we meet someone and fall in love, we have a sense that the whole universe is on our side. And yet if something goes wrong, there is nothing left! How is it possible for the beauty that was there only minutes before to vanish so quickly? Life moves very fast. It rushes from heaven to hell in a matter of seconds.
-Paulo Coelho

Ten years from now, make sure you can say that you chose your life, you didn’t settle for it.
- Mandy Hale

About all you can do in life is be who you are. Some people will love you for you. Most will love you for what you can do for them, and some won’t like you at all.
- Rita Mae Brown.
You have to accept that sometimes that’s how things happen in this world. People’s opinions, their feelings, they go one way, then the other. It just so happens you grew up at a certain point in this process.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

There is no need of any competition with anybody. You are yourself, and as you are, you are perfectly good. Accept yourself.
