Concept Art Moments and Ideas: What I Wish Was Kept
Pretty sure we've all been there. Seen some of the concept art and thought how cool it was and how much you wish it had made it in the final game. These are some of mine, I won't go too much into why they're not in the game, the answer is usually either one of the following or a combination of: they needed to narrow the scope of the project, frostbite was a new engine they were struggling to make do what they needed, time, they didn't feel it had enough narrative weight or purpose, or it would make the world states branch out far too much.
I'm not really wanting to discuss whether or not I agree with cutting them either. I just really think these are neat concept, ones I've thought out how they would fold in, possible ways they could have played out, and some that personally I have worked into my fic just to fully explore the ideas.

I'm know others have said this, but I really wish that it had been feasible for you to become Divine. Though, honestly this only would have really worked as decision at the end of the series. While personally in my canon world state I don't have anyone I would want to put in that role. I do have an OC who I did design for that and would have been nice to see it play out. Especially come Trespasser.

We are on strike.
As of today, January 31st at 8am, the graduate student workers of Temple University Graduate Student Association are on strike.
This comes after over a year of negotiations, in which the university administration has continually obfuscated, talked down to us, and refused the spirit of negotiations. We have come in with proposal after proposal, shaving items down to meet them in the middle, while they lecture us about understanding the definition of negotiations and simultaneously resist any real negotiative change. Our contract expired last February.
Our demands have been painted as unreasonable. Greedy. Selfish. And yet the reality is that we have not received a cost of living adjustment in years. Our average pay among grad student workers is $19.5k a year, in a city where it now costs $37.2k to live. We request a pay of $32k. We are asking for healthcare coverage benefits for our dependents, more than 5 days of parental leave and 4 days of bereavement leave—reasonable requests considering the mass disabling event of the global pandemic. What’s more, our protections from overwork are thin and paltry. We only have each other. We only have the union.

okay here is my beginner’s guide to morrowind! it talks about some of the mechanics you’ll want to know, but it’s also a little bit of a walkthrough to get you a good start on your journey. note that i originally wrote this for somebody specific: i don’t think it does, but if it seems like it’s talking at somebody in particular, that’s why. anyways, i hope this is helpful!
before you start the game:
there is only one mod i absolutely recommend you play with, and it’s not quite a mod at all.
when you download morrowind from steam or gog or whatever, you have the game! congratulations! however, what you really own is the assets of the game and a horribly broken engine. that’s where openmorrowind (openmw) comes in.
openmw is a remake of the original engine of morrowind. you see, morrowind’s original engine fucking sucks. this is for a multitude of reasons, but for me, the reason i switched was because at the later stages of a playthrough, the game will literally start corrupting your saves. don’t have that problem with openmw!
i can’t really give you a guide on how to install it and get it running better than the one on the openmw website (https://openmw.org/en/). go install it and you will have a much smoother experience overall.

i think it needs to be said that fandom treats palestinians like shit
Palestinians in this fandom have been subjected to violent anon hate. we've been stalked. we've been harassed. we've been dismissed. we've been targeted with Islamophobia from people who care more about fictional racism than actual people. ive personally been accused of race faking several times simply because they wanted to invalidate my discomfort
And since there are so few of us in fandom, it's easier for white big name fans to dismiss us and ignore our issues. when we bring up things concerning us, the first thought isn't "oh hey that's fucked up" but actually "hm but is this antisemitism?" like you can't simply believe us without someone who isn't palestinian signing off on our posts first?
there are literal big name fans that are zionists. they don't even keep it a secret. they post about it on their blogs. if yall cared to, you could unfollow them. but no they continue to be popular in the "antiracist" circles of fandom. do you understand how viscerally uncomfortable that makes us? that you don't think coexisting with zionists is a dealbreaker.
and i don't know what it is. like do you see palestine as so distant that our struggles aren't real to you? do you think we're lying and exaggerating? what is it?
adding to say that the dragon age fandom has a huge problem with this especially - maybe its because there aren’t a lot of us in this fandom or due to how deeply rooted hatred of Palestinians go within nearly all western media (like more than half of Hollywood is pro-Israel including most famous actors you probably know) - Palestinians can bring up the fandoms silence on Inon Zur (literally being in the IOF for four years) and we are met with white fans either ignoring us, being a apologist for him, vague posting about us, blocking or unfollowing us en masse, its ridiculous.
Pro-Palestine activism extends to all spaces you are in, whether this be fandom, in real life, online, talking to your friends etc - I am so tired of being harassed and ignored for being Palestinian in this fandom (literally had to turn my anons off because people kept sending me messages full of Palestinian hatred) , of having to break mutuals or friendships because of people interacting with or supporting zionists within the fandom.
once again, pro-palestine activism extends to fandom as well. Please help make fandom safer for Palestinians.
