we all know this is what the timeskip aftermath should’ve been but alas
self proclaimed schizoposter nervously typing '911' into their phone and hovering their thumb above the 'call' key as they hawkishly watch a disheveled guy at a bus stop make repetitive movements and ramble to himself
You know what lemme just come back to this post because I (physically disabled, joint pain, cane user) was on a full train last night with the biggest heaviest backpack you could imagine bcs I’ve just become homeless and I was on my way to a friends house. I tried to ask people for a seat and got flat out ignored. Nobody would even look at me. It got to a point where I was literally shaking crying sobbing dry heaving resorting to begging “I’m really sorry everyone but can someone please give me their seat I have joint problems I’m in a lot of pain”, speaking to people directly “excuse me but you’re in priority seating and I’m disabled and I really need to sit down” and the only person in the whole train who would even LOOK at me while I was wheezing and clutching my stomach and sweating about to pass out in some of the most rancid pain I’ve ever felt in my life. was an old disheveled guy with a tic who was mumbling to himself. and he quietly tried to console me and convinced me to just sit on someone’s suitcase. I hope all the unnatural hair coloured pierced 20 somethings on that train that night ESPECIALLY never know peace for the rest of their fucking lives
You seriously can’t call yourself a leftist or a progressive or whatever if you can’t treat other people like actual human beings. I’ve had disheveled people who a lot of ppl would assume are homeless, be quicker to offer me a place to sit on a train than 20 somethings with unnatural hair color and “Be Gay do Crime” pins and stickers do that (esp when I injured my ankle coming back from work nobody except a mumbling elderly lady offered me their seat). They’re also not the ones who threaten to call cops on me when I’m taking foodstuffs from grocery stores! You can post about anarchy and being progressive and unhinged all you want but the fact that you would treat people who are physically disabled and in poverty this way makes you just as an awful person as anybody else
treating people kindly is an action, not an aesthetic.
only 100 characters rn but i plan to add more. they range from average kinblr shit to extreme red flag. generate some kins for yourself and put them in the tags or whatever. have fun
sorry but it’s actually so horrific how little of a sense of community people have, how little regard they extend towards the other humans around them. killing people for being loud on the subway or turning around in your driveway. loading your gun and waiting at the door because a child ran your doorbell unexpectedly. ring cameras, neighborhoodapp, community watch group Facebook pages. you’ve assigned yourself the role of the one true peacekeeper and casted everyone else around you as a threat to be controlled. there’s no connection or love or compassion. just a deep distrust and hatred.
and the people who face the most significant consequences from this are the ones who are already deemed as outsiders. people of color, especially Black people, disabled people, people with mental illnesses, homeless people.
and so many people are willfully promoting this complete alienation from each other. the obsession with true crime, the hatred directed at children for existing in public spaces, the policing and controlling of where homeless people are allowed to be / what they’re allowed to do, the constant fearmongering about public transportation. you are building a society of FEAR. you are conditioning yourself to distrust everyone around you. you need to make an active, conscious effort to engage with the world and the life around you in a healthy manner.
me when i get my student loan
this is the money cat. reblog in 30 seconds and you will find yourself with more wealth

OMG YOU’RE RIGHT
and it has its right paw up! the correct paw for this. and from the markings on its ears, it looks like it might be a calico cat. which is the luckiest kind!
extremely lucky cat
I don’t even care if it actually works, I’m mostly reblogging because it’s freaking adorable.
cute cat and need money, good post, 10/10
in case anyones interested in the other versions
Y’know I reblogged this a bit ago and was saved from financial probation and getting kicked out of school because of it, just mere months from graduation. Got a call from the financial aid advisor telling me that they made a mistake with filing my account (or some other sort of clerical error) and said that, basically, they owe me money. Welp.
Last time I reblogged the money cat, I won two $100 gift cards at work.
Damn.
KITTY. YOU CAME BACK. AGAIN. YAYY.
katakuri headcanons 🍩 - update (1/9)
- assessing his mother and brothers, where do his teeth come from? my thought is that his father is half fishman, as it's previously been stated that quarter fishmen do not have the ability to breathe underwater or really get much special strength--but I think an unusual mouth could be feasible. perhaps he's quarter pelican eel fishman?! that could explain why his brothers look (relatively) normal, it's just a recessive gene that falls out with the stronger human/whatever Big Mom genes are.
- his massive "house" granted to him by his mother is immaculate, spotless, spartan. this is because he doesn't live in it. he has a true living quarters hidden somewhere on komugi island that holds his some of his less grave secrets (such as his silly little hobbies and his preference of milk alternative). he's a private person so no one really goes there. only brulee knows about it, and maybe a few of his other closest siblings.
- he is 48, so he'd be pretty out of touch with the things his young siblings like. he's a humble guy so I think he'd take their "omg youre OLD" bullying in stride, and they'd love him for it. very popular with the kids AND their parents, future sight is the ultimate babysitter ability. he can stop a toddler with a safe alternative before they even think about climbing up a curtain.
modern sinfest is maybe the greatest comic ever made. imagine trying to explain this to literally anybody
but who else could possibly come up with the gender riddler
Listen, I was 17 - the same age as Luffy - when this chapter came out. I loved this page SO MUCH that for years (until we figured out who Blackbeard was) I planned to get this as my first tattoo.
Oda gave this line not to Roger, or Whitebeard, not to Rayleigh, nor to Shanks - to Blackbeard. An "old" guy who had never been a division leader, never been a captain, always lived in someone else's shadow, never really seemed to amount to much.
It's definitely inspiring to give this sort of line to heroic, monumental characters, but to give it to a craven, backstabbing, villain? It makes you wonder, especially in a series where the heroes' dreams take on an almost sacred quality, are villains even ALLOWED to have dreams? Do old, evil, cruel, cowards carry dreams in their hearts that are just as sacred and precious as the heroes'?
Now I'm the same age as Buggy, and this means SO MUCH MORE than anything I could have imagined at 17.
Suddenly you're in your 30s and you haven't thought of your dream in years. What even IS a dream anyway? The stupid shit you think up when you're a dumb kid. Somewhere deep down you remember what you were like when you were younger, with your dReAmS, and cringe.
And here's Buggy. The cringiest character. He's embarrassing and he knows it. He's weak and he's pathetic and he's failed his way here and he's a quitter and he's a moron...
But he never really gave up his dream, did he?
AND LIKE!
Oda's gotta know there are readers like us. His earliest readers who have been there since day one. We got old and we got practical and we got boring. That's how it works when you write a series for 30 fucking years. But he hasn't forgotten us.
LISTEN. It's very important to me that One Piece is full of "old" characters (30s isn't old, but for a shonen series it sure fucking is.) People in their 30s and 40s AND 50S AND 60S, still out here chasing their dreams.
This is why One Piece >>>>>>>> Naruto or Bleach or whatever. You turn 30 and get a desk job and that's it? The dream is over? The adventure ends? That's your happy end? Everything wrapped up neat and tidy before your life is even halfway done? NO.
Even when you're old, when all the young and brilliant people coming up after you have stolen the spotlight and have won the dream you couldn't, when your peers have surpassed you, when you feel washed up and like a failure...
IT DOESN'T MATTER. You get as many chances as you take, forever, as long as you're alive. A DREAM NEVER ENDS.
Listen, Luffy's confidence is incredibly powerful. It's dazzling. It drags everyone along with it and gives people the strength to believe in him and in themselves.
But seeing Buggy, who has lost faith and seen his idols die or quit and all the things that he put his faith in crumble, seeing this literal and figurative clown of a character find his dream again and give that dream back to others... I fucking lost it.
OVER BUGGY, OF ALL CHARACTERS.
I may never recover
AU where Hunter rolls the worst blunt ever and gets replaced early
