It's timeeeeeeee!!

Frodo's desperate ride to the ford is genuinely one of the most thrilling pieces of writing I've ever read and this is one of my favorite tracks from the musical. It's gorgeous. I mean come on, the percussion that sounds like hoofbeats??

Here's the yt version for people who spotify hates, like me lol (this one is pop out mini player compatible!)

Things I have learned from Dracula and Carmilla:

Vampires are super melodramatic. I thought Dracula with his "blood of Attila" speech was a ham, but then along comes little miss "rapture of my enormous humiliation"...mademoiselle "I live in you and you would die for me I love you so" fraulein "girls are like caterpillars" Mircalla what the flaming fuck are you on about just boink her already you useless lesbian.

I had a thought when I was sketching today. Since Aerin used the blade too, could he replace MC as a blood source?🤔Imagine the drama, MC thinking he ran away only to find him strapped to the same table they were bound for a whole year. After all, they're each other's foils right...

I love drama.

Hey do you know what would have been angstier than Aerin leaving and writing a letter?

Aerin being kidnapped by the Ash Empire.

He did after all work for the Shadow Court who are enemies of the Ash Empire. he is also a member of MC's party, so they have ever reason to want to capture him.

Just imagine MC waking up with no letter from Aerin, no explanation whatsoever.

Imagine how much the betrayal would hurt then. MC would probably believe that Aerin never changed and it was all a ploy to get them to trust him so he could flee.

And then MC finding Aerin locked in a cage after all this time. The pain would be glorious. And MC's rage towards the Ash Empire would be magnificent.

Thinking so much more about how Tyril totally has a burgeoning friendship with Aerin, and how he was the only one who wanted to drag him back.

Tyril has a lot of valid reason to hate Aerin, yet his best best friend in the world was corrupted by the Shadow Court. And he still believes that Kaya was a good person before that happened and that he could potentially have saved her from corruption if he’d gotten to her soon enough. Could Tyril believe Aerin is a good person/capable of being good/redeemed? Maybe.

some elusive hoped for destiny

Some elusive hoped for destiny. By james a. galgano

Bless the lost lonely fool who has lost his way travelling to find love in descending night. He has found himself in limbo searching for someone’s guiding light. The comfort of such a feeling would be enough to awake to face one more day alone. Waiting in front of unfriendly screen or for one call from errant phone. Where no call is forthcoming while we wait for sunset like rabbit escaping hunting or capture death by design. This is where we must all seem to be when love is never forthcoming stars un-aligned. There we often feel like wayward dominoes as each crash upon each other with no destination found. Leaving us adrift within some kaleidoscope devolving into words and intent never written or never sound. Leaving us to face what we hope for and long to be though it may never happen. We pursue it still hoping by some fleeting chance it may be by some miracle our hoped-for destiny.

Once again, I love Jonathan Harker a normal amount! Also, if I wasn't already aware of the plot, considering they all already promised to kill Mina if she turned completely, I'd probably be more concerned if I were you, Jack. Look, I'm not saying Jonathan would kill his friends if it meant protecting his wife, but... In all seriousness, again, I would totally read/watch that dark AU! Adaptations, if you're going to show the allure of being with a vampire, then at least do it right!
