This guy is messaging commissioning artists and attempting to gain access to their PayPal by pretending to need a code to pay the bill. Obviously we all know that’s bull, but if someone isn’t paying attention, is unfamiliar with PayPal commissions as a whole, or is just desperate enough for that commission money? They might fall for it. OP’s tweet here.
It’s just not how it works, I know it, you know it, the scammer knows it. But he’s gambling on the potential that someone (and that someone is mostly likely to be a young, new artist without much commission experience under their belt, let’s be honest) doesn’t know it. Let’s make sure everyone does. So if you’d be so kind, please boost the everliving hell out of this. Okay but…story time because I work at a fucking restaurant. Specifically one that has every single main dish on those hotplates. A kid ran into me one time as I was carrying two empty trays back to the kitchen and sent me into the edge of a brick wall right next to me. Like my side collided into the outwards edge and holy fuck y'all know that hurts. AND I almost dropped the trays on the stupid kid. I had to sit out of work for like half an hour cuz it hurt that much, and bruised badly for a few days mind you, while my manager yelled at the customer family for letting the child run around like that. Luckily the family had shame and apologised and left, but godammit if I had been carrying a tray of hot food fresh from the kitchen I wouldn’t have been the only one hurt for sure and injuries would’ve been much worse.
TL;DR DON’T LET YOUR TINY CHILDREN RUN AROUND IN A RESTAURANT. IT’S NOT A PLAYGROUND. IT’S DANGEROUS FOR BOTH THE STAFF, THE OTHER CUSTOMERS, AND THE ACTUAL CHILDREN.

Yep. Deleted over 400 drawings and photos from DA over an year ago. I used the site for over 8 years not knowing these terms of service since they don’t actually show them to you when you make an account. Sure you can find them if you do some digging but they don’t shove it to your face. Also it doesn’t matter if your art has a watermark or whatever. Like it says above they have the right to edit and modify your pics so they can just remove your useless watermarks and signatures and then use your art freely and you can’t complain because you have agreed to all of this. There is no reason whatsoever to use Deviantart (maybe if you are a stockartist that gives their shit for free lol). Leave this piece of shit site before they use you like the arrogant asshats they are.
