"i'm not triggered or upset by or even ideologically opposed to it, i just associate it with something so bad that i can't enjoy it anymore" is such a frustrating relationship to have with a piece of media

No one wants to admit this but you don’t actually have to eat eggs and dairy for breakfast. Farmers just did that because they’d milk the cows and collect eggs in the morning. You can literally make a sandwich or a bowl of pasta or really anything you want for breakfast. There isn’t some medical reason you have to eat cereal and milk or fried eggs in the morning—our idea of “breakfast food” is an entirely artificial construct. Do what makes you happy.

everyone has a ship thats just: theyre perfect. they hate each other. theyre married. they havent spoken in 15 years. they have date nights three times a week. theyre divorced. theyre pining, its unrequited. its requited. theyre starcrossed. theyre meant to be. theyre doomed by the narrative. they love each other. theyve never held hands. they wont stop making out at parties. they cant look each other in the eye

Totally understandable the fact that Studio Orange has been developing for two years alone the tech for the facial expressions in Trigun Stampede. Like. Look at this whole fcking amazing nuanced impressive sequence of Vash's face and how it seamlessly changes from one emotion to another.

He is blurry, because the scene was focused on Knives, so I didn't really notice at first, but the moment I put my eyes on Vash, I couldn't look away. The range of emotions the animation was able to convey? The darn impressive micro-expressions? The small lip trembling before he starts to cry? How the tears are escaping his eyes against his will? The anger, frustration and sadness at the same time, in a few seconds? My heart breaks for this whole scene.

Studio Orange, I'm all yours.
