ok question for spamton fans: do y’all think he always had a voice glitch or did it only develop once he became insane
Personally, I do not think he always had it.
Canonically, after you defeat Spamton in Pacifist, he speaks normally - there are no glitches or tics or censors or anything.
I believe that when he was Addispam, he spoke like most of the other Addisons, albeit he was still loud and 'himself', y'know. It was when he entered his Big Shot Era - rather, when he was first 'contacted' - that the 'puppetizing' began and the tic started to slowly develop. It preyed on him being a junk-mail/malware Addison.
At first, it wasn't severe. But the more depressed and stressed he became in that famous period, the worse it got. Then, of course, when his life completely went down the drain and he became fully corrupted, the tic/glitches took over.
When we 'free' him and give him back his sanity (for the most part), he reverts back to normal.
That's just my take and my headcanons, lol.

I think it's important to do a secret kindness every now and then, and never speak of it, so that strangers on the street can believe that the universe is gentle.
whenever I get too dispirited about the whole writing thing, I try to remember how fucking long it took me to get anywhere in illustration.
like first I had a professor at my dream college tell me not to apply because my art wasn’t good enough (I applied anyways, and got in. lol.)
then when I was getting into paleoart, I had a palaeontologist tell me that my style didn’t work for paleo, and (as a specific example) said that if people saw my stuff included in paleoart book, they would be disappointed - fast forward a few years, a book came out showcasing modern paleoart, and my stuff is featured prominently! so fuck that dude!
and then there’s the years I spent sending out risograph-printed postcards with handwritten messages to book publishers, with no replies back, and no interest in my work. until, three years in, a publisher responds and asks me to do a children’s book! and now I have a second book out that’s been nominated for a Canadian reading award. like it took multiple years of silence and rejection before I found success.
so I need to have a thicker skin about writing. it’s gonna take a lot of work and a lot of rejection before I get anywhere, and I gotta just… grit my teeth and not let that get me down.

With vanilla extract being a meme, I wanted to share some black history of Edmond Albius a black slave who revolutionized vanilla pollination.
He used a technique he learned of pollinating melons to polinate the orchids to create the vanilla beans. Vanilla was rare and a luxury mainly due to only being able to be pollinated by its natural pollinator in Mexico.
unfortanely, he didnt receive any money for his discovery despite being called the main man who revolutionized pollination, he died in poverty...

Do you have any advice on drawing facial expressions?? I’m autistic and I have a really hard time with them.
Howdy again, and sorry for the delay! Not sure how well some of this advice would translate into different styles, this is just what works for me.
Expressions are hard! There's a lot of nuisance and subtle differences between them, and a lot of different expressions share similar features. Ya just have to play around with them.
There are a lot more things that can all help convey emotion, that aren't just limited to the face, like posing and angling, but I focused solely on expressions, here.
Anyway, I hope this helps at least a little :0!
