Insectober #6 - Unexpected Predator

Fear not, a Dragonfly will never do any harm to you ! But they WILL eat mosquitoe Larvae and many more. Both the adult Imago and Juvenile form are fearful predators, and therefor play in important role in ecosystems.

Odonates (that's how they're called) are a very ancient order of insects on earth, and probably some of the first to develop the hability to fly. They live and breed next to water, and lay down in it. The juveniles are called Naïades, and leave underwater where they feed on plancton, insects and sometimes even small fish!

There is no such thing as "Bad Weeds" : they are invasives species, imported by men, that must be contained - and Wild Endemic plants ! They nourish the soil, protect wildlife and are an important food source to local species. If you let them grow, and moan only once or twice a year, you will contribute to make ecosystem more resilient !

what does it feel like seeing a movie you worked on be on netflix?

Well, apart from Crisis Jung and Lastamn, wich were series, there actually hasn't been any ? I would love to see the movies I am really proud of, like Calamity or Swallows of Kaboul, be this accessible to all. I hope one day they will, and that many other beautiful projects will come !

Hello, I am in love with your centipede girl drawings! As someone who has struggled a bit to learn how to draw centipedes, do you know of any good techniques or references that you would be ok with sharing?

Thanks a lot !! ♥ They're my favourites too hehe I wouldn't have very precise advice, I mostly did some observation drawings from pictures before drawing mine - whatever I draw, I always draw with reference ! But I would say - keep in mind there is one pair of legs for every segment, and don't be to hard on yourself when you draw them. It's mostly a matter of rythm ! I try to give them personality, like I would with a dogs or other animal's attitude. Seeing each segment as a cylinder will help you with perspective though :)
