For all my fellow oversharers out there.

As a chronic people-pleaser, this is my advice for success.

Offer as little as possible. Be terse. Get rid of all those exclamation marks and tidbits about why you want to take a sick day. State your needs clearly and concisely without reason. Start saying “No, I’m unable.” more often. Say Thank You only when the other party deserves it.

Yeah we need legislation on this like yesterday.

Ideally with everyone involved being catapulted into the sun.

Destroy the people involved in this. I hate true crime bitches.

"We need legislation" fuck off with that and grab a gun you prissy cuck.

"We need legislation" no, you need better parents and need to teach children some respect for others.

Really love how leftists want government to take the same role as parents and churches, while absolutely malding over the institutions of family and religion

While I think anyone making deep fakes of murdered children describing their deaths for entertainment should probably be catapulted into the sun, the idea that the government can successfully prohibit anything shows a vast lack of historical knowledge.

I Hate How She Talks About Snow White

Image

"People are making these jokes about ours being the PC Snow White, where it's like, yeah, it is − because it needed that. It's an 85-year-old cartoon, and our version is a refreshing story about a young woman who has a function beyond 'Someday My Prince Will Come. "

Image

Let me tell you a little something's about that "85-year-old cartoon," miss Zegler.

  • It was the first-ever cel-animated feature-length full-color film. Ever. Ever. EVER. I'm worried that you're not hearing me. This movie was Disney inventing the modern animated film. Spirited Away, Into the Spider-Verse, Tangled, you don't get to have any of these without Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937.)
  • It was praised, not just for its technical marvels, not just for its synchronized craft of sound and action, but primarily and enduringly because people felt like the characters were real. They felt more like they were watching something true to life than they did watching silent, live-action films with real actors and actresses. They couldn't believe that an animated character could make kids wet their pants as she flees, frightened, through the forest, or grown adults cry with grieving Dwarves. Consistently.
  • Walt Disney Studios was built on this movie. No no; you're not understanding me. Literally, the studio in Burbank, out of which has come legends of this craft of animated filmmaking, was literally built on the incredible, odds-defying, record-breaking profits of just Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, specifically.
  • Speaking of record-breaking profits, this movie is the highest-grossing animated film in history. Still. TO THIS DAY.
  • In fact, it made four times as much money than any other film, in any other genre, released during that time period. It was actually THE highest-grossing film of all time, in any genre, until nothing less than Gone With the Wind, herself, came along to take the throne.
  • It was the first-ever animated movie to be selected for the National Film Registry. Actually, it was one of the first movies, period, to ever go into the registry at all. You know what else is in the NFR? The original West Side Story, the remake of which is responsible for Rachel Ziegler's widespread fame.
  • Walt Disney sacrificed for this movie to be invented. Literally, he took out a mortgage on his house and screened the movie to banks for loans to finish paying for it, because everyone from the media to his own wife and brother told him he was crazy to make this movie. And you want to tell me it's just an 85-year-old cartoon that needs the most meaningless of updates, with your tender 8 years in the business?
  • Speaking of sacrifice, this movie employed over 750 people, and they worked immeasurable hours of overtime, and invented--literally invented--so many new techniques that are still used in filmmaking today, that Walt Disney, in a move that NO OTHER STUDIO IN HOLLYWOOD was doing in the 30's, put this in the opening credits: "My sincere appreciation to the members of my staff whose loyalty and creative endeavor made possible this production." Not the end credits, like movies love to do today as a virtue-signal. The opening credits.

It's legacy endures. Your little "85-year-old cartoon" sold more than 1 million DVD copies upon re-release. Just on its first day. The Beatles quoted Snow White in one of their songs. Legacy directors call it "the greatest film ever made." Everything from Rolling Stones to the American Film Institute call this move one of the most influential masterpieces of our culture. This movie doesn't need anything from anybody. This movie is a cultural juggernaut for America. It's a staple in the art of filmmaking--and art, in general. It is the foundation of the Walt Disney Company, of modern children's media in the West, and of modern adaptations of classical fairy tales in the West. When you think only in the base, low, mean terms of "race" and "progressivism" you start taking things that are actually worlds-away from being in your league to judge, and you relegate them to silly ignorant phrases like "85-year-old cartoon" to explain why what you're doing is somehow better.

Sit down and be humble. Who the heck are you?

And just to add, Zegler summarizing Snow White as a “young woman who doesn’t have a function beyond Someday My Prince Will Come” implies she’s never seen the original film or she’s too dense to comprehend the character, which is another reason she shouldn’t be playing her.

There is so much more to Snow White than that one song. She’s literally like 14 years old and escapes an abusive situation and then is able to pick herself up by her bootstraps and take care of herself and seven others. Sure, she also dreams about romance, but that’s not bad? Young women tend to do that.

And I hate how she and Gal Gadot say “oh she’s not going to be saved by the Prince in this one.” Are we supposed to be pleased by that?? Like oh thank god we can’t have a man helping her out in any capacity. She was laying there dead and he kissed her and that created the iconic idea of true love’s kiss so thank god you’re tossing that right out!

It makes me upset that Zegler and Gadot can’t seem to promote this film without shitting on the original and if they hate it so much why are they remaking it?? Leave it alone.

I wasn’t planning on watching this in the first place but if I was someone who generally tried to watch these bastardized remakes Rachel Zegler alone would be enough for me to avoid this remake at all costs.

It's just the modern way of thinking. Everything old is bad and was made with bad intentions due to the culture of the time, unless that old thing promotes something (or merely has Undertones™ of messaging) that they support. If it doesn't, then they could replace everything classic and revolutionary about the original creation with The Message to fit modern ideals, as seen here.

do people genuinely not know how biological sex works? how old are these people? I’m nearing 30 and I see so many folks older than me insisting that biological sex isn’t real and that you can choose your gender. you can choose your identity and label it as a damn cactus for all I care, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re either male or female regardless of any mutations that occurred in the womb. they’re natural, but rare, occurrences, but some people equate that to mean “biological sex is a scam and gender isn’t real”. I have yet to see anything saying that a non binary gender or brain sex exists, because it doesn’t. a choice to be androgynous and not present as male or female is just that, a choice, but the person is still male or female. their brain and entire biological makeup is still male or female. are women who have hysterectomies suddenly not female anymore to these people? a woman is a woman because of her dna, not because of what parts she may or may not have. basing gender off of what parts someone does or doesn’t have would give us an almost unlimited amount of (fake) biological sexes because no two bodies are the same, and each small difference between even 2 different women would make one “less of” a woman than the other, but that’s not the case. it’s classified as male and female because, well that’s all there is, and even when someone has something different than what’s deemed normal, their dna is still male or female. what are they not grasping, what biology class did they take in high school that taught them this garbage?

I think it's the result of living in a culture that wants to promote the ideas of "your truth" and "my truth" and doesn't care anymore about the truth.

It's all about affirmation (to a harmful extent) and leading people to believe that the only reality is the one inside their head.

You would think schools wouldn't be filling the heads of children with this kind of shit but public schools are no longer educational institutions but are indoctrination centers.

It would be funny if it wasn't real and we weren't living it.

Got it you're only a woman if your vagina is fully functional. I'm sure that will in no way disqualify a bunch of people from being women.

See, this is why you guys don’t get to define what a woman is and why your opinions should be completely dismissed.

Y’all literally think surgically ripping a hole into your body is all it takes to have a vagina, meaning you don’t know what a vagina is.

The thing is that it’s not a “non-functional” vagina or a vagina that’s not “fully functional.”

It’s just not a vagina to begin with.

If I glue a plastic arm to my body I don’t suddenly have three arms, but one of them just isn’t a “fully functional” arm.

“aren’t you scared of being on the wrong side of history” actually no im more concerned about being right and telling the truth. get well soon though.

“The wrong side of history” assumes that the narrative we’re taught about history is always true and unambiguous. History is not written by the “right side,” history is written by the victors. The victor has the power to erase the victim’s struggle, to paint them as the aggressor, to deny genocides or give them softer names, to call massacres “trials” and coups “revolutions” and revolutions “insurrections.” Real life is not a Marvel movie, the good guys do not always win. The notion that righteousness always prevails was invented by the prevailing who wanted you to think they were righteous.

“Right side of History” is just the non-religious version of “God is on my side”.

I’d be quite proud of being on the wrong side of the history that is presently taught in universities today.

Kids deserve surgeries, it's their choice. Doesn't matter if they regret it, they just have to live with it apparently. 🤢

this is disgusting.

Avatar

Kids do not deserve surgeries

Kids do not deserve to be mutilated because they are too young to understand making life changing health decisions.

Gender dysphoria should be started with counseling and therapy. It is a disease in the DSM V. Start with basics before you irreversibly alater a child with surgery and hormones/chemical castration.

It’s not castration, the testicles are not fully removed just small bits. It is not irreversible, detransitoners exist and you can stop it at anytime

Avatar

chemical castration means no aspect of the genitals are physically altered, the individual is just rendered infertile because of injesting specific chemical components. in the case of detrans people, a lot of those that transitioned as kids are now infertile because their bodies were never allowed to develop normally.

“you can stop it at anytime” yes, but you cant reverse a huge portion of the changes. detrans women cant make their genitals go back to how they looked pre-T or change their voices back or get their hairline back to how it was or or or. its not reversible. and this is when we leave out surgeries which yes, even kids get.

instead of downplaying the impact of child transition, we should acknowledge the reality of it and not push it as an immediate solution for any child that is deemed dysphoric.

Additionally, and this is the thing no child transition supported will acknowledge... The process for putting kids and teens through transitioning has no safeties, no breaks, and no procedure for undoing the damage it causes. The overwhelming attitude is that once a child is presumed to be trans and therefore in immediate threat of suicide if their gender identity is not affirmed, the only treatment is transitioning and encouraging the transitioning process, and seeking ways to make it impossible for anyone to oppose it, usually through forms of governmental force.

There isn’t any consideration for the permanent harm that is guaranteed to happen to the child, because transitioning is given top priority and presented as the only guaranteed fix for what is very like just a confused, autistic, manipulated, or gay child.

the only super long Tumblr post I love

That color of the sky post has nothing on this.

Is “Atheism+” still a thing or did it cease to exist once it completed its work of destroying Atheism as a unified movement and cultural/political force in the world, just like everything else feminism touches?

What is that? Final stage atheism that circles back to theism?

Atheism+ was a bunch of feminists who moved into the Atheism community and attempted to hijack it for political reasons around 12? years ago, demanding that all attendees at the popular Atheism conferences publicly swear allegiance to a list of far-left political positions to continue being allowed to speak.

So overnight, Atheism went from the simple statement of disbelief in a supernatural creator God, that it had been for hundreds of years, to “we don’t believe in a supernatural creator God but we DO and MUST believe in smashing the patriarchy, ending white supremacy, BLM, AntiFa, yadda yadda”.

Anyone who pointed out that this had nothing at all to do with the philosophical and religious position of refusing to subscribe to and support faith-based systems of belief was labeled a white supremacist and deplatformed from all mainstream Atheism events. This included leading lights like Richard Dawkins, thereafter a ‘problematic’ and reviled figure for many people on the left who, only a year or two earlier, had adored him and hung on his every word.

The effect of all this was a shattering and scattering of the Atheism movement, which in the early 2000s had grown into a seemingly unstoppable cultural force. Now that appears to be all over and it’s gone back to being just a position people hold in private and put in their Twitter bios.

Feminism behaves like a cancer: if you let it into any human group activity, it will do all the above to it and destroy it from within. This is a guarantee.

Can’t believe it was atheism that had the first struggle sessions in our zeitgeist, not video game journalism.

My recollection is it took place around the same time as Gamergate, within a year or so. In hindsight, it can be seen as a dry run for the woke takeover and ruination of all mainstream media, movies and TV that we’ve seen the past 6 years.

It’s always strange to hear about something happening for the first time, learning it happened years ago, and being really confused because you are a part of the group that it happened to yet still never heard of it. Never heard about atheism+ other then this post, never heard of it before and defin never heard it during or after Gamergate. I wonder if this is how Christians react to Mormons? Just with complete wonder and disbelief.

I’m fairly certain the whole thing started before tumblr and facebook were a thing. The proto-SJW movement started on livejournal and the Something Awful forums, I think? The combination Atheist and Skeptic community had a pretty strong rise to prominence in the early 00s, giving rise the the Euphoric fedora tippers and pseudo-intellectuals quoting Dawkins or Hitchens.

The exact time period is unclear in my memory, but I remember early Skeptic youtubers like Thunderfoot and The Amazing Atheist getting a big boost and becoming quite popular for discussing the Atheism+ problem and how ideological poisoning and divisiveness destroyed the entire community practically overnight, in part because some twat got asked if she wanted to have coffee in an elevator and ran screaming to the internet that it was an attempt rape.

That cued a lot of people into what modern feminism was shaping into with it’s overt hatred of men and figures like the infamous “Big Red” screaming about the patriarchy in the street.

That dovetailed into Anita Sarkeesian’s kickstarter. The idea of kickstarter was just kinda getting started and some people were making a name for themselves by tearing about bullshit projects, like the “SOLAR FRICKIN’ ROADWAYS” (I think Thunderfoot got a dozen vides out of that one alone).. So Sarkeesian showing up claiming to do an academic feminist dissection of the whole topic of video games was just an endless wellspring of content for a lot of people (myself included!)

The overt and suspiciously aggressive glorification of Sarkeesian’s braindead videos and her career as the most important woman in video games, or whatever, got a lot of people to start taking notice of how overtly ideological and obnoxiously preaching game journos were getting… and then Zoe Quinn happened. That caused GamerGate. GamerGate led to a lot of other things happening. The internet became a far stranger place. Here we are now.
