Rarely in the target audience, yet here we are: a bunch of random fandoms.  ...Honestly just fandom stuff, really.

do you ever think about how in the canto iv boss fight another sinner will stand in dongrang’s way to protect yi sang from his attack. twice. like i am 90% sure in canto i most of them couldn’t be convinced to do that. if dongrang had told them he only had a problem with yi sang and once he was gone he would leave the rest of them alone they probably would have just let dongrang kill him so that they wouldn’t have to fight him/get involved. but instead they stand in his way. they continue the fight until yi sang is ready to step up and end things himself.

perhaps i am just delusional but i feel like it shows that they’ve grown a lot. they’re starting to care!!! they’re forming bonds!!! it will take them 8 more chapters to admit to any bonds but they’re there!!!

AU where the Mili music is diegetic. If someone Distorts or manifests EGO near you, expect to be subjected to a beautifully sung and orchestrated description of their mental state, regardless of whether you want to be hearing this, and in fact regardless of whether they want you to be hearing this.

The real reason the Pianist was so powerful is that he provided his own musical accompaniment to the song. Imagine how much destruction he could have caused if he'd actually been good at piano.

hey I went to Bad At It island and everyone you know was there. yeah turns out you just see the version of them they put forwards in order to not disappoint and in actuality everyone is just trying their best which doesn't always mean succeeding. yeah you were there as well but it's ok because you're surrounded by your friends and loved ones and if you take a moment you'll realise we are all flawed by nature but we are all full of love for one another and that matters more than any skill or success or achievement.

Op why were you at Bad At It Island???

I'm making an incredulous expression at you

I read this post wrong. I am also on the island. I have made a sandcastle and buried my whole head inside its gates.

I am decorating your sandcastle with shells and putting leaf flags on every turret

someone tell the tumblerinas that you can raise an issue without deliberately guilt-tripping everyone about it

okay, I take it back. I don’t think everyone is doing this deliberately. some of it is so deeply entrenched in tumblr culture that you probably don’t always notice you’re doing it

“nobody’s talking about this” -> you can just delete this phrase

“if you can’t reblog this, unfollow me” -> you can also delete this one

“x group can, and should, reblog this” -> remove the “should”. or you know. delete the entire sentence

your post will still spread all the important information without the guilt-tripping parts, I promise

if an otherwise valid post tries to guilt trip me it’s a pass on the rb, sry.

Resisting the urge to use all of these phrases while reblogging this post

In case anyone in the notes is wondering why guilt tripping can be particularly harmful ("why should I feel bad when the issue I'm talking about is important?" etc), posts like these can trigger all kinds of OCD, anxiety, paranoia, trauma, etc. instincts and cause people to spiral very fast; I recently had a post blow up regarding a similar issue where I talked about how internet callout culture specifically can be hellish for people who are already paranoid about their morality or how they're perceived by other people (scrupulosity disorders or otherwise) and got a lot of agreement in the notes from people saying various things like "this is why I'm not active on Tumblr" or "I internalized this as a teen and now I have regular panic attacks thinking about social media".

It's ok if you've reblogged things like this before or even posted about them! Don't beat yourself up too much-- a huge part of the harmfulness of this sentiment is how the trigger feels harmless or even necessary in the moment (like "I might as well rb this, it's for a good cause after all" or "If I don't say this then people won't pay attention to this important topic") so it spreads very easily and is much more difficult to reasonably disarm using tactics made for dealing with intrusive thoughts-- "if I don't reblog this, I'm racist and deserve to die" might seem like a disproportionate response in lucidity, but if you're really deep in already struggling with paranoia around believing you're racist due to your intrusive thoughts (which are uncontrollable and not indicative of your real views btw! In case you needed to hear it today), this sort of spiral can be all too common. Rinse and repeat with "if you don't rb this, I don't trust you" which can be doubly harmful to people who've suffered from abuse/manipulative friendships where things like this were held over their heads, etc etc for countless other thought patterns.

I understand if you think the issue you're talking about is so important that you want as much coverage as possible, but please consider that guilt-tripping does harm contradictory to your cause, and might even prevent some people who want to protect their paranoid followers from being triggered on your post! Just let the issue speak for itself rather than adding any of these statements on-- you'll be helping a lot more people than you realize if you do.
