The doughnut I made this post about have actually made both me and my coworker really fucking ill??? Which adds to the foreboding.
But also like, it’s really impressive it’s made ME ill. Like complete gut of iron, ate meal worms, kibble, raw meat & a lot of things you probably shouldn’t eat bc the heart wants what it wants. Even had a weird amoeba parasite that did nearly take me out and yet.

so my cousin got stick insects and they uhhh, made more stick insects. And my uncles contacted me bc I draw lots of weird bug tattoos and has basically gone YOU NEED TO TAKE ONE OF THE BUGS RIGHT NOW PLEASE
And I just??? I can’t leave the little dude?? So I’m gonna see what I can do - but I don’t want to move it into a sub-par set up so I’m having to dig in my pockets; don’t even know the species yet. But I literally haven’t even got my beetles in their cage yet and I just??? Did I manifest too hard??? Like I wanted a buggy muse but this is too much. Very much feeling like this mother fucker from animal crossing
Victoria's bug zoo was literally crawling with stick babies when we visited. They were so tiny they kept escaping their terrariums! It didn't seem like they needed a lot compared to some of the others (who liked burrowing or flying). The adults were pretty chill, but the big ones needed a loooot of space. Just watch out for the little guys, they've got ambitions!
Aha Ive read they breed like rabbits. I think the hard part is I actually have no idea what type of stick insect she’s got? Most likely it’ll be an Indian stick insect I think. But there’s so much variation between species
Hopefully once I know what they are I can make a plan? They seem low maintenance tho but I need to do my homework

It eats algae and lives in intertidal and sub-tidal zones on the coast of Mexico and California. You can find it in tide pools there!
