Today sat down to do some fun campaign art of the Children of Madness, a set of deities that hold dominion over the forms of “madness” within the realm of madness!  Using them in my campaign for an interesting boss fight (Although they already tangled with Dasori once)

The children of madness started out as me needing to personify/draw things I was feeling but developed into interesting designs that I use in my personal setting now <3

anyone else like knives but like. not in an edgy way. like i’m not trying to b threatening or anything i just like the unique designs of them and the cool smithing work that’s gone into them. idk.

I understand your point and I support that but why in the name of all that’s holy would you edit a realistic hand onto Marge Simpson

Day 2 - gel pens (and a brush pen)

More creatures than Louise and her foster parents call her house their home.

Remember when I said I only had 90 minutes a day to do these? I don’t know what made me think I could do this in an hour and half. It took that long to do just the lineart and the spot blacks, I’ve been crosshatching for hours! I’m really pleased with this though, so it was worth it.

Raccoon muscle/bone structure studies? Thanks!

I couldn’t find ANYTHING about musculature, and even skeletons were hard to find. So here’s a labelled raccoon skeleton, and some paintovers that I did that show where the bones and joints actually are.

KEEP IN MIND I’m not actually an art student and y’all see how inaccurate I draw my raccoons so this is a good starting guide but not gospel lmao

Things to keep in mind: Slanted skull, loooong hands and feet, lots of stored fat (especially on back), poofy fur makes them appear larger, back legs are Very Bendy

On one hand this is adorable but on the other hand I am a little bit worried about her shattering her shoulder by trying to fire a fully automatic .50 cal rifle.

Isn’t it supposed to have recoil suppression or something?

It’s designed to be used exclusively by power-armored super soldiers. The recoil comp is enough to keep it on target if you’re a fucking space marine, but Newton’s Third says there’s not much you can do when you’ve got that much mass going out the front that fast.

Let’s see… a modern .50 BMG weighs between 42 and 52 grams and has a muzzle velocity of 882-928 m/s according to wikipedia, total of about 20 kilojourles kinetic energy per bullet. Advanced technology would probably have improved muzzle velocity a bit but let’s ignore that.

Doom wiki says the assault rifle has a rof of about 500 per minute, so call that 8.3 per second.

That’s 166,000 watts of power in that series of explosions, about half the output of the engine of a semitruck or 1/8th the engine from a P-51 Mustang, according to Wolfram-Alpha.

So, we assume that the recoil compensation is good enough that only the force imparted to the bullet needs to be dealt with, instead of also the rest of the push of all that hot gas. And how about we assume they managed to even it out into a constant, steady force instead of a series of rapid kicks. In short, perfect recoil compensation. 52 grams per bullet times 500 bullets per 60 seconds is… 433 grams per second accelerated to 882 m/s… 381 Newtons, or about 86 pounds of force, if I’ve done all this math right, delivered directly into her shoulder parallel to the ground.

So, in a theoretical ideal system, it would probably not break her bones. But it would definitely knock her flat on her back with nasty bruises. And if the recoil comp was less than perfect she’s got no shoulder bones anymore.

She might be small enough that if she pointed the gun downward she could fly.

Damnit I completely neglected to account for Doomguy putting a steadying hand on her shoulder. Yeah Rapunzel would be absolutely fine here.
