thinking about the au where electra, selene, and sloane are victors ... bc even if they don't talk about their past/family the undercurrent is still there!! claudius gets friends and electra chats with julia and electra and sloane could be friends and i think enobaria and selene are friends too?
sloane and claudius is such a funny image because she's so sullen and he's like ...... okay ...... do you want a cookie ..... and she's like ................ yeah ok fine
assuming that there's some kind of war like in the one where electra meets julia i do think that's where it would all shake out OK, electra's PKs help take out the president and maybe it crosses over with the dash and sloane get chucked out of a hovercraft au and also the electra meets julia without selene knowing and it's all confusing and messy but yeah they can all get along in the end!
it would be soooo awkward and messy at the start but eventually!
i really do wonder how an electra, selene, and sloane lives au would shake out..
like idk how to put it selene is surrounded by victors who in some way failed or "targeted" by peacekeepers or the capitol (enobaria + teeth, electra + past, claudius + arena, sloane + past) and petra being a rebel peacekeeper?
and even though you leave family behind that doesn't change the fact selene's dad is like The Peacekeeper and joseph is like her uncle (vs how Alec was treated) so it's like.
everyone did as they were supposed to and still got dragged through the gutter and is loyalty really worth it?
also i have noooo idea how selene and sloane interactions would be like cause i believe sloane basically avoided alec and selene bc she knows their dads are capital-p Peacekeepers? but selene and sloane would also be in the same victor tree so it'd be kinda inevitable to like be around each other
for electra ... hm. her mentor knows what happened to her brother but I don't think she talks about it to anyone else. claudius might know eventually? like they're close enough that i think she does tell him, at some point. i can't decide if she'd tell sloane or selene though they're so young! like she and claudius are peers, they're only a year apart, but the kids are firmly in the 'you are my junior' territory and i don't think she'd share childhood trauma unless it was necessary
selene is more ... complicated, yeah. sloane mostly avoided alec, and he was bffs with selene, so even though selene does NOT talk about family in the VV there's a good chance sloane would remember
i do think that if sloane gave selene any grief about it selene would suddenly become her mother and be like ok fine and completely ice her out. she's not going to play that game, apologize and debase herself for something her parents didn't even do. sloane doesn't like her, that's totally fine, not everyone needs to be friends. i think it would be a sloooooooow crawl to the two of them interacting

funny enough they started out in the child soldiers original transplant AU, where Electra had injured out by the start of canon and didn't actually show up in the story. at some point I decided to poke around at what that would look like (survivor's guilt from outliving her partner while s l o w l y recovering from a debilitating spinal injury) and we needed someone for her to play off. who did we know who already had a storyline about injuring out and was roughly the right age? eyo!
turns out they worked together really well and we liked their relationship a lot (even if Electra's partner's death was so sad we almost immediately nixed it and wrote an AU where she lived, lol) so we wound up writing Electra and Rigel together in a lot of universes
sadly the one where I think I have the most stuff for them is Hogwarts but, eh, yanno. I still really their dynamic there even if that sandbox has long been ruined

So...I caved and got myself a Barbie hat for the dog and now I have some Victor thoughts about it 😭
I feel like Misha would 100% try getting these for Calli's cats. The cats would hate it, and she'd end up putting them on Ronan's hounds (who, much like my dog, could not care less as long as they get treats). Ronan would come back to them napping happily on the porch like this (and sneak a couple photos before taking them off).

I think all the third-in-the-golden-trio victors need to have a club. I can't remember how many of them there are, I was just reading the one about Tristan you reblogged, so there's him, and my Knox, and I can't remember if there is anyone else.
Perhaps amongst the multiverse there could be a club, or even a center-age version, since they're all around a similar age so could have met in the center. Which one is the victor really depends on who is chosen as volunteer on which year, and what arenas there are to match their skills or not. A center age club or hangout would be real funny tho - at this point, they'd all be possibles, not victors, and that shoots them right back down to regular trainee level, which I find kinda funny because in my head I kinda view the older victors as old and stately, and then you go, nah, they were kids too, werent they.
If there is any of them that were in the same year I mean it's gonna get a bit more toxic possibly, but Tristan was 36 and Knox was 35, so you already have more possibility for inter-year friendship, since they wouldn't be competing for the same place. Idk, just feels like a fun concept

(I do this myself all the time, mainly so unofficial-mentor!Claudius can be super confused by the AUs where he and Selene are together)
I do agree that the one of the most fun things about playing in that era is putting the older / more venerated victors back to the time when they were dumb kids doing dumb kid things, even the ones who sort of had Grown Men vibes even as four-year-olds

So this is for @lorata‘s Hunger Games ‘verse, and will probably make sense to like….two people who follow me? Anyways, if you’re interested in reading lots of well-written thoughts about the Careers, specifically District Two, go read their “We Must Be Killers” series.
Also, I love that we’re referring to the Third of the Golden Trio in such terms now. They’re aspects, they’re one and separate, simultaneously. They’re quantum, they’re religious-who are they? That depends on you, and your viewpoint and interpretation. It’s the best.
Anyways! My interpretation of the Quantum Third (-ish).

There’s actually two different versions (facets?) of this aspect-Tristan as the Third of the Golden Trio, and Tristan as the unlucky fourth/default Victor (sticking the rest under a cut so I’m not clogging your screens, this post is a beast).
Okay, so I'm out sick today because I feel like I've been run over by a pickup, so I thought I'd send in an ask. Does Eibhlin take care of Claudius when he's sick in the winter? Does he fight her on it? Now I'm just picturing Lyme coming over to take care of D like she usually does and finding him already on the couch under 100 blankets with a rabbit on his chest and an irate Three scolding him for not taking care of himself.
