such a politic of social media usage now (particularly twitter) is that you have to show complete interest in something popular or you're swarmed and shamed for not caring about it. i'm not talking about human rights or whatever, but instead the need for uncritical thinking and enjoyment when it comes to popular multimedia and celebrity.

this like mass gaslighting that happens on social media of new music and films being good has got to stop....!!! every time i take the bait and tap in i end up so overwhelmed
