Puppy crush pt4
Lyluk walks with his hunting brothers to the mead hall. They all passed their chiva, it’s a very exciting day.
You sit at the head of the table, waiting for Nahr, who has decided to be late. You chuckle and tap the table as you wait for him. You look down and begin fidgeting with your ring. Some of the young bloods enter and begin to chat. You smile and look away from them. Nahr walks into the room, everyone looks up and respectfully nods. He is the new chieftain, he has gained a lot of respect over the years. He walks in and sits down with you at the head of the table.
“My love,” He greets and kisses you lovingly.
You hug Nahr and return the kiss. You glance towards the door and see Lyluk enter with his brothers and friends. They're all boasting of their chiva and showing off their healing scars. You stand up and walk towards them. Lyluk meets you halfway and bends down, kneeling to you. You roll your eyes and lightly slap his shoulder.
“Oh you know you don’t have to do that.” You scolded the huge yautja with a caring smile.
The group looks at the two of you curiously. You motion for him to lean down. He blushes and does as you ask. You wrap your arms around him and give him a big kiss on his cheek. You look Lyluk up and down and sigh.
“My goodness! You’re looking so skinny! Doesn’t your mentor let you eat?” You shake your head. “I'm going to give him a stern talking to,” You say, sounding determined.
He chuckles and shakes his head. “I eat, I assure you, y/n.” He smiles.
Nahr walks up behind you and places his hand on your shoulder. You look up at him and smile.
“I am proud of you, my son. You did well at your chiva.” Nahr praises his youngest.
Lyluk seems happy that his father is proud of him. He bows his head gratefully. Your position seems rather funny. You're practically standing in between two mountains. You giggle at the thought, then see a cut near his neck.
“Lyluk!” You whine and grab a piece of cloth and wipe the blood away. “You have to be more careful!” You scold lovingly. “You might be a tank like your father, but you’re not invincible, darling.” You pat his chest.
He blushes and shyly looks away from you. His friends curiously walk over and look between the three of you.
“Who’s this Lyluk? You said you didn’t have a mate.” One of them knowingly teases, while the others are genuinely confused.
Nahr perks up at hearing this and doesn’t seem pleased. He glares at the Youngblood that suggested you were Lyluk‘s.
“Oh knock it off Kryl, I’ve known you your entire life.” You roll your eyes at the boy, he giggles mischievously.
You look at the group of curious youngbloods. “*This* is my mate,” You refer to the raging wildfire behind you. “and *that* is his son.” You point to the gentle giant who is furiously blushing.
“My little Lyluk~” You pinch the 8ft 300lbs Yautja’s mandibles and coo at him. “Oh he was just the cutest baby! You were always quite the hecken chonker!” You smile widely. “With his chubby little hands and feet~” You give him another kiss, treating him like a baby.
His friends snicker at him, but you’re quick to stop it with a deadly glare. He blushes profusely and rubs the back of his neck shyly.
“Come on, I need to feed you,” You hold his hand and lead him to the head of the table.
He chuckles at the sight, it seems the roles are reversed. Now it’s you leading him around while he lets you. You sit him down and grab a plate full of food. You place it in front of him and place a kiss on his forehead. You step away from him to let him eat. You spot his mother and you walk up to her.
“He’s so grown up!” She says, pretending to hold back tears, when in reality she actually is.
“He really is,” You nod and glance at him, his friends are joking with him.
“Is it just more or does he look thinner?” She blurts out and you turn to her with wide eyes.
“That’s what I said! I think his mentor isn’t letting eat to his full potential.” You cross your arms angrily.
His mother shakes her head disapprovingly. “These new-age mentors…” she growls. “They focus too much on ‘perfect’ builds- My boy is thick! Let him be thick!!” She tilts her head up in a superior way, you nod in agreement.
“I swear they’re making a weaker generation because of it,” you add, “They should be focusing on *his* strengths not *their* ideal warrior.” You roll your eyes.
“So what’s the deal with your step-parent? They’re hot…” one of Lyluks friends says.
“They’re the chieftains mate, you know, my dad.” he says and looks at his friend like he’s an idiot.
“Oh right, right….” The boy is no longer listening.
Lyluk watches you approach his mentor. He shrinks within himself and puts his hand up to block his face. You and his biological mother absolutely go off on them. After that you walk back over to him while he eats and keeps a low profile.
“You’re all good now, darling,” you nod satisfied. “They won’t be starving you anymore.” You pat his head.
You all drink and enjoy the night. Lyluk looks down at your hand and sees the ring. He seems surprised and blushes.
“You…. Still have it?” He asks you.
“Of course!” You say fondly.
“Have what?” One of his friends asked.
After telling the story Lyluk is a new shade of red. One of his friends pats his shoulder.
“If only you were that charming now,” he teases him about not having a mate yet.
Although Lyluk was a rather bold and confident boy, he grew up to be a shy, reserved man.
“Lyluk will choose someone when he’s ready,” You defend him, and give him a pat on the shoulder.
