Whenever Daniel is taking a picture, Max is looking *past* the camera and looking at Daniel or looking *for* Daniel in the right moment when he's taking a picture. He didn't look right at the camera. The smile is not for a picture but for a person who's taking a picture. Not for the camera but for the person behind it.
