I hate it when I talk wistfully about the ancient world and then people are like “you wouldn’t survive back then” yeah obviously I would die immediately but do you think achilles would be able to survive in the modern world if he had to send one polite email? no
congrats to these people on being funnier than me on my own fucking post
I bought a bunch of bananas and I’ve caught Cleo staring at them every day since
Update: I took the last one and now she wants to know where her bananas went
How do you know that she doesn’t just really love that bowl?
Because when we leave the bananas on the table without the bowl she stares at them with just as much love!!! She ONLY looks at the empty bowl right after we remove the last banana. Then she’s no longer interested
i just wanted to let you all know that, in my opinion, it's kind of mind-blowing to think about the fact that the time that it took you to read this post, is more or less the same amount of time that it took jack antonoff and taylor swift to write the bridge of getaway car
idk I just personally think that getting chills from music is the best part of being alive. like when a song is so good you can feel it in your whole body. that’s why I’m here.
Support your local vampire! Feed him a transphobe!

There is a thread 🧵
[image description: a series of tweets from Cliff Jerrison @ pervocracy dated 24th of March. The tweets read:
if your child doesn't come out until they've moved out and have a strong non-family support system
they didn't JUST become trans ya dingdong
they just became safe from you
and I hope you feel every bit of what that means
and if your child starts HRT or gets a surgery date the day after they come out to you,
no, they didn't start medical transition on day one
it's day several hundred and you're the last to know
(media should REALLY stop taking parents' word on this particular point)
(sorry if this is a little unfair to parents of people who transitioned later in life for other reasons and do have a decent relationship, but if you are one of those you already know it instead of having a giant grudge around "my child didn't even give me a CHANCE to stop them")
All my love to the people replying to this with your stories, and -- please don't feel guilty. You do not owe your parents a trust they did not earn. You deserve, and did as a child, to be seen and loved as yourself. 💕 [heart emoji]
once again I must scream to the heavens that a lot of parents fucking suck and choosing not to come out to them until you near the point where you physically can't hide your transition is not "suddenly becoming trans", it is basic self-defense
"mom, I think I might be transgender, but I'm not sure, can you help me work through my feelings" - something that in some families is a reasonable request, and in others you might as well pour barbecue sauce down your shirt and climb in a tiger cage

if you weren’t on this site when everyone got unreasonably horned up over the Peter Pan actor at Disneyland then you haven’t truly been witness to madness
i think people need to stop glorifying sassiness and bitterness and start promoting the idea of actually being fucking nice and civil to people who did nothing to you.
Been seeing a huge number of posts lately like "hey if you're new here don't have a blank blog otherwise everyone's gonna think you're a bot and block you :(" all with like 90,000 notes.
And I'm like ?????? yall are paying attention? yall block like that? personally if I gained 1,000 followers overnight I don't think I'd notice and I definitely wouldn't go through them all. personally I only block people if they come for my life. I just kinda can't be bothered otherwise.
If you followed me and have a blank blog, I have not noticed. You can just chill there. Right next to the foot-fetish blog and hotkathie937478 who have also followed me and I also have not noticed.

one thing i do miss about childhood is waking up early on my own before anyone else is awake, not feeling tired because wtf is chronic fatigue, and just minding my business like watching cartoons or doodling all morning. not like i can’t do those things now but the idleness of childhood is a special thing.
