A couple months ago, someone taught me newlyweds used to plant sycamore trees on both sides of a walkway leading to their house, then join them together to symbolize two becoming one. Today I saw it for the first time. (by frique)

“When I die,-” my words were cut short by an angry glare burning the side of my face as I let out an amused chuckle, “-IF I die; I want the love of my life, my soul mate, to know that there was nothing he could have done to prevent my death. Spending years blaming himself for the inevitable is a waste of time, and I will not allow it. I want him to continue traveling the world and chasing his dreams, for I am still there with him, rooting for him. I want him to know that there is indeed, love after death. And I need him to know that I will not be angry with him for searching for it or for accepting it. I will merely be blessed and bursting with happiness that someone else was able to see the good and the bad in him, and love each part equally with their whole heart.” I sighed heavily, fighting back the heavy tears that formed while chewing anxiously on my bottom lip, “I want him to know that I will watch over him daily. And when he is blessed with children, I will watch over them too. I’ll never forget him, as he will never forget me. He made no mistakes in our journey of love, for he did everything just right. I could not imagine the end of my life without him in it. I want him to know that even though my life was cut short, our love goes on, and on, and on. There is love after death, and after death there is love.”
